The very rebels that Obama wanted to arm are the ones that ran Christians out of their homes in Damascus and destroyed all the churches and a lot of the homes. Destruction is everywhere. They were all built on side of a cliff -very picturesque. The Syrian army has retaken Damascus and most want to return to celebrate Easter.

Obama funded and armed these rebels. Saudis believe that all Christians & Jews deserve death. Christianity is illegal in Saudi Arabia, and Obama is arming and funding these nut jobs - who are then using our money and arms to kill innocent Christians. Is this a nightmare?

May God bless and keep the Syrian Christians. Some of the strongest believers on Earth.

Before Syria, I would never have believed my country was capable of such things. We're siding with Islamic terrorists against a tolerant regime in Syria, and literally helping to destroy the country, and now in Ukraine we have sided with neo Nazis and toppled the legitimate government, and why, because we have to contain Russia and hold them on a leash the way we do others countries.

Basically we hate Russia for not being willing to accept our moral and cultural superiority...and it frightens us. :hiding: I mean how dare they?

    .

I take it that you call U.S. morally and culturally superior to Russia at this point with tongue in cheek ?

I think you should have put our "moral and cultural superiority" in quotes.

The Ugly American is showing itself. It's tough to run the scam that America
has run in the past with righteous rhetoric and imperialistic and immoral deeds, controlling
the media, brainwashing it's citizens. It's a biatch to do that in this day and age
with the "Internets" and all… ya'll

The Stalemate In The Syrian Civil War Continues

    SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2014

While Assad says it's almost over, actions on the ground make that assessment quite murky. Read this article @ http://warnewsupdates.blogspot.com/2014/04/the-stalemate-in-syrian-civil-war.html and follow the links to decide for yourself.

Me? It seems to me that Russia's aid to Syria has more impact than that of other countries for the rebels. Without that support, the rebels are due to lose. :salute:

No. If Obama and McCain had gotten their way and armed the Islamist rebels like they wanted, rebels would be winning it right now, just like they did in Libya. And we all know how that turned out, don't we? Of course they have got arms from U.S. via Libya.

This will never be reported by the New York Times or any other media in the U.S.

"The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,' Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline.

She blamed the Obama administration for failing to stop half of a $1 billion United Arab Emirates arms shipment from reaching al-Qaeda-linked militants."

'Retired Admiral Chuck Kubic said the White House refused to let the Pentagon pursue a peaceful exit for Muammar Gaddafi: 'We had a leader who had won the Nobel Peace Prize, but who was unwilling to give peace a chance for 72 hours'.

'The White House and senior Congressional members,' the group wrote in an interim report released Tuesday, 'deliberately and knowingly pursued a policy that provided material support to terrorist organizations in order to topple a ruler [Muammar Gaddafi] who had been working closely with the West actively to suppress al-Qaeda.'

'Some look at it as treason,' said Wayne Simmons, a former CIA officer who participated in the commission's research.

Retired Rear Admiral Chuck Kubic, another commission member, told reporters Tuesday that those weapons are now 'all in Syria.'

'Gaddafi wasn't a good guy, but he was being marginalized,' Kubic recalled. 'Gaddafi actually offered to abdicate' shortly after the beginning of a 2011 rebellion.

'But the U.S. ignored his calls for a truce,' the commission wrote, ultimately backing the horse that would later help kill a U.S. ambassador.

Kubic said that the effort at truce talks fell apart when the White House declined to let the Pentagon pursue it seriously."
