Are we going to apply the same standards of behavior to NFL players, NBA owners, media personalities, celebrities, etc? If an NFL player tweeted something anti-Christian, would there be any consequences? What about anti-white? Does anyone really believe that Christophobes and whitey haters are going to be silenced, too? There is an entire section of the forum dedicated to Christophobia. It's called the Religion and Philosophy section. There are no moderators vigilant against Christophobic posts, as they are about anti-gay posts. Clearly, there's a double standard here and in our culture that says Christophobic speech is ok, while speech against the protected classes is considered hateful and not tolerated. Liberals, you have to decide whether this fascism is good enough for everyone. You gave us these racist and homophobic witch hunts. Only you can stop them.
1. Although the two (Christophobic or Anti-White Speech) are not the same, the implication in the post seems to equate them. This is not accurate. 2. Do not confuse what you call Christophobia with opposition to the policies of the religious right. Any study of the history of Christianity (and I have done so) reveals the difference between the two. Also, given the often stated criticism of non-believers on this board, usually by guess who, it is neither illegal nor unjust to reply.
They are not the same, however both are supposed to be protected (race and religion) classes. I'm saying they're not protected, and that the same standards of acceptable speech in opposition to homosexuality doesn't apply to them.
It's the way so many so-called Christians practice "Christianity" that deviates diametrically from what Jesus was said to have taught.
I can only think of ONE group that combines talk of "defending Christianity" and "defending whites".... and they wear white sheets and long pointy hats.
Interesting enough, they seem to think they were liberals.... yet the OP crushed that premise with this thread......
