This aught to be enough to make every Liberal out there puke. If there is one thing they hate and don't trust, it's Fox News. But you can't deny that others find Fox telling it like it is and telling news that many of the other networks won't touch. Most of the time getting it right. So ok Libs have at it.

Poll: Fox News most trusted news source for 'accurate information'

Fox News: Fair and Balanced — and, according to a new survey, the most trusted news source around.

Tucked inside a big Brookings survey on immigration are a few questions about the integrity of television news. And there, 25 percent of respondents say they trust Fox more than any other TV source for "accurate information about politics and current events," giving the network a slight edge over generic broadcast news. By contrast, MSNBC places last with just five percent, a hair behind The Daily Show.
This isn't the first time a poll has found Fox as the most trusted news source. For five years running, the network has taken top honors in PPP's annual media survey.

And while we're at it, let's ask Fox News watchers if they consider the Bible the most trusted and accurate source for natural history. Nothing like polls to determine facts.

OH, I don't dispute that those polled consider Fox the best. Nothing like polls to determine facts, right?

Anyone with any sort of an education knows that polls reflect what the entity paying for the poll want them to reflect, so the results have to be taken with a grain of salt. You don't actually think you are clever for pointing out the obvious do you? If you do, as your post suggests, then it actually indicates the opposite. But by all means, continue to embarrass yourself by asking what you believe to be clever questions, and we will all continue to laugh at you.

They rated MSNBC, the Liberal's Bible, dead last, so the people can't be too stupid. They realize what most Liberals don't.

    http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/...gain-most-and-least-trusted-name-in-news.html

Fox News is both the most trusted and least trusted name in news.

It's interesting that while Fox News and MSNBC are often thought of as equivalent, Fox News is by far and away the most trusted source of GOP voters

It's interesting to note that Republicans seem to hate MSNBC more than Democrats like it.

When you look at the 8 outlets we tested individually, only one is clearly trusted by a majority of Americans. That's PBS, which 57% say they trust to 24% who don't. Most Democrats (80/6) and independents (49/31) trust it and it at least gets an even split with Republicans at 38%.

    PBS for the win!

Only right wing cult members think MSNBC is the Liberals Bible.
We prefer NPR, PBS, the BBC and the New York Times....because there's a much higher % of reality in their reporting....

Where do I start?? AND THE OTHER 75%??? That is one of THE most badly constructed interpretation of poll data reporting! So what's 'generic' broadcast?? Is that the networks, online, talk radio?? (It looks to me to be INTENTIONALLY written to OBSCURE). And what the hell is THE WEEK anyway?? A BRITISH and AUSTRALIAN news source--any connection to Rupert Murdoch??

TAKE this source with with a VERY VERY FINE GRAIN OF SALT!

What the poll pointed out is how people who favor FOX news were least likely to actually know what was going on, they were most likely to be basing their opinions on "facts" that weren't facts at all......I could have told you that....

Well perhaps we have had a seachange in people's TRUST LEVEL of the various news sources--IN 4 MONTHS. PBS IS STILL THE MOST TRUSTED NEWS SOURCE (AS WELL IT SHOULD BE!!!!). Comedy Central using the +/- margin of ERROR is as TRUSTWORTHY as Jon Stewart and Colbert. Now that's funny!!

From Data Mine, Janauary 31, 2014

PBS Is America's Most Trusted TV News Source. Or Maybe It's Fox News.
Either PBS or Fox is America's most-trusted TV News source - it just depends on how you ask the question.

The difference in who wins lies in how you ask the questions. Public Policy Polling, a left-leaning polling organization, first asked 845 registered voters about different news sources on an individual basis. Below are respondents' answers.

Organization Trust Don't Trust Not Sure
    ABC----------- 37% 38% 26%
    CBS----------- 39 37 24
    CNN---------- 40 40 21
    Comedy Central 29 38 33
    Fox News------ 44 42 15
    MSNBC---------34 44 21
    NBC------------ 39 39 22
    PBS------------ 57 24 19

PBS is trusted by far the biggest share of people, 57 percent, followed by Fox News, at 44 percent (the survey's margin of error is plus or minus 3.4 percent). However, Fox News also has an almost equal share (42 percent) that say they do not trust it. One way to account for this is subtracting the number of people who say they "don't trust" an outlet from those who way they do trust it, making a measure of net trust. By this measure, PBS stands out as far and away the most trusted TV news source.

(Well I can't the numbers to line up, but you can get an idea).

I'll bet you got that from FOX.
Because as your link pointed out, the most significant indicator that a person was misinformed about the actual facts on nearly any topic, is that they call FOX their most trusted news source......

Well this is TOOOO obvious, but let's give 'er a try! It took 3 LEVELS up for my cable provider to get MSNBC. (About $50 more a month for the first 10 years--96-2006--we had cable. We took a pass). So HOW MANY other cable providers give/gave people FOX but not MSNBC?? I'm not a statistican but golllleeee, wouldn't that skew EYEBALL counts? And, in that same period of time, the network who MANY didn't have access to was being used as the punchline of ongoing joke by its COMPETITOR who eyeballs (and ears) DID have access to.

Oh well, I'm sure none this had anything to do with FOX's 'popularity', right??

Most cable and satellite providers lump Fox, MSNBC, etc. news. all in the same tier. If you pay more for one you pay the same for all.

You got that right!! How many times--about 6 different years they measured Fox News watchers asking about 'settled' FACT and found out tthey didn't KNOW 'settled fact'?? (And how many times did JON STEWART and PBS audiences get MORE RIGHT in these polls than FOX WATCHERS).

Although a generally low-profile person, David Koch has become controversial in recent years because of his strong conservative and libertarian views, and substantial financial support for political action groups supporting those views. He is also one of the world's leading philanthropists.

Among the organizations he has helped support financially over the years is public television, to the tune of about $23 million

Since both Soros and Koch donate to PBS I suppose we should all give up on them as they are :deadhorse: EVIL

Why WOULD YOU BE SO PRESUMPTUOUS to think that all cable providers would do the same thing. Isn't that naive or is obtuse?? I told you, mine didn't--until about the past 4years. Apparently, many people complained very specifically about this 2 tier NEWS SOURCING. (There's also some other crap that I heard about MURDOCH paying more/or paying at all to get FOX included in the cable packages, levels of cable or, the only news source that did it when he started--NOT sure of the details but therein lies another story about FOX).
