StampStampede is a movement to stamp dollar bills and to protest the USSC recent decisions allowing more and more money to influence elections. CU v. FEC and McCutcheon v. FEC are a threat to fair elections and our democratic institutions and traditions.

Google StampStampede is a grass roots movement is a powerful statement lead by a member of the 1% who believes these recent decisions need to be overturned by Constitutional Amendment to preserve and protect fair elections.

There should be a limit on the total amount that can be spent on any candidates campaign, including, the spending by the candidate, donations, pac's and the like. But Congress attempted to pass such a law and the Supreme Court voted against it as being Unconstitutional. To be fair, all Candidates should have the same limit and televised debates should include all candidates. It should not matter where the finances are from as long as spending does not exceed the maximum limit.

This would be fair and I IMO they would spend money on advertising that better represents their views rather than attacking other Candidates.

Yet five members of the Supreme Court decided in both CU v. FEC and McCutcheon v. FEC that to restrict the money spent on a candidate or an initiative would violate the First Amendment; much worse, money can be 'donated' anonymously giving moneyed interests the advantage in local, state and national elections.

Since the court decided the use of money is protected, the StampStampede has established a grass roots effort to convince the Congress to pass a Constitutional Amendment to level the playing field. We all know that elections are almost always decided by the amount of money raised, as TV, Radio and Print ads flood our consciousness during each election cycle, and most of these ads are produced and written by professional propagandists meant to mislead the public.

Has anyone visited StampStampede? Anyone ordered a stamp? This is an opportunity to be in the forefront of a real grass roots movement, by letting the Five Members of the US Supreme Court who equated Free Speech with money that millions of Americans disagree and show their disagreement by flooding the nation with our 'vote' to repeal CU v. FEC and McCutcheon v. FEC via a Constitutional Amendment.
