Who here in the USA even knows that Canada makes aircraft? We know a lot of popular passenger planes Airbus come from Europe. But, Canada? So, I did my usual Wiki search and came up with information that Bombadier is the 3rd largest. I also learned that the maker of my favorite aircraft, de Havilland, is out of business.

Bombardier is known worldwide as one of the top aircraft manufacturers.

And there is controversy because Putins Russian friends and Russia are important investors and they have made some threats to pull out their money and that would hurt Bombardier.

Moscow is weighing whether it should end its $3.4-billion (U.S.) deal with Bombardier Inc. to buy Q400 turboprop planes to be built in a new assembly plant in Russia, the country’s industry minister said.
