Here I want to share a link to a rather mind-blowing video: It shows a dialogue with a Muslim Arab mother whose young child is being treated in an Israeli hospital as she speaks. She says that after her son recovers she hopes he becomes a shahid, a martyr who dies in terrorist actions against Israel, for Jerusalem. Jerusalem is ours, this mother declares. But for this Arab mother and millions just like her: Death is natural...even from the youngest infant...we all sacrifice ourselves for Jerusalem...for us life is nothing. This video illuminates the mental set of those in Hamas who use human shields, and of the civilians in Gaza who are willing to die for the cause, believing it praise-worthy to become martyrs to make things difficult for Israel. This sets up a situation that comes close to being untenable for Israel the most moral country in the world, populated by Jews who fervently believe that it is a commandment to choose life. The more Westerners can perceive the reality of this Muslim Arab mental set, the more they will understand Israels situation. And so I ask you please! to make sure this goes viral. I ask everyone who reads this to share it with a least three other people, along with my explanation. It is something you can do to help Israel.
Addenda to the previous post This video highlights something else about the Muslim Arab mentality, as well: the refusal to share. For them it’s all or nothing. Any less than “all” is considered a defeat, a dishonor. Thus does the Western world need to understand that there is no compromise with them in negotiations. It simply does not work. Shaheed means witness not suicide bomber. - - - Updated - - - During the second intifada, 1400 children who were victims and amputees were treated in Saudi hospitals.. Some had additional surgery.. They also got prostheses and physical therapy.
Every Palestinian who has lost friends and family, homes, land, orchards and farms is "Shaheed".. meaning witness.. persecuted for their faith.. because their mere presence means they are a witness.. The Israelis don't even know enough to know the meaning and concepts related to WORDS.

Arabs love working dogs like the Saluki, but now that they have veternarians they also keep small dogs as house pets. You should get out more.. You wouldn't be so vulnerable to propaganda and blind hatred.
Just the opposite... I have been a guest in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Jordan to wonderful Arab families and one of my questions was about pets. They all answered the same way... Pets are considered filthy because they lick their organ and backside. Whatever you portended to emphasize is ridiculous that I should consider this infantile.

It doesn't mean anything.. The Ottoman Empire was very bad for Saudi Arabia... No education, no literacy ... it stagnated for hundreds of years.

Moi is right. Another reason for Saudi stagnation is Islamic fundamentalism. Let's not forget the burning of the Great Library of Alexandria, a calamity that set back civilization by centuries. The Muslims burned it because they claimed the Qoran was the only book that should be read. Ever. For those who might not know history, before the invention of the printing press by Gutenberg in 1439, books had to be copied by hand with quill pens. That meant there were only a precious few copies of even the most important books. (Yes, that's right, there was no internet or even typewriters.) The Library of Alexandria was the greatest book collection in the ancient and medieval world. People traveled from all over by horse and sail boat (no jets) to reach it. It contained the accumulated knowledge of the human race. Muslims burned it all. That spirit of "all you need is Allah" is still with Islam. Before some clever person reminds me, I'm well aware of Arabian contributions to mathematics, medicine, etc. But these happened despite Islam. Islam has always been an anti-intellectual force. Part of what Islam offers its followers is what leftists also crave - total equality. If the only thing that counts is piety, then differences in learning or accomplishment are swept aside. One can have the satisfaction of melting into the all-conquering horde. Islam forbids the translation of Qoran into any language other than the original medieval Arabic, which most non-Arab Muslims can not read, and even many Arabs who can't penetrate the medieval tongue. Yet most Muslims keep a copy of the Qoran in their homes even though they can't read it. All the suicide bombers, et al., come armed with The Book, which they don't read. That attitude is the kernel of stagnation.
Then and now the followers of Islam have conquered and destroyed any image or statue that they deemed anti Islam. As of late another smart Imam requested the destruction of the Sphinx and the Pyramids. Islam is a calamitous destructive force... the sooner the rest of the world realizes this and takes action the better.
