Wow all this moving around is hard on a gal after consuming a couple glasses of wine. This morning I posted in Smartie's located on some beach and tonight the same place is now a Texas Honky Tonk. What a trip!

Thought I needed to update my Java... so I did.

Didn't help.

Tried to upgrade to Win 8.1... got stuck on 83% 'checking your system'

Looked for how to update IE... found scam sites

*sigh*

I need a drink.

 

Uh oh... "Windows needs to restart to complete 8.1" Guess it took after all. If I disappear, look for me somewhere around Windows 8.050.

 

I'm glad I got Windows 7 for my new computer instead of 8. It looks like a pain in the ass to use.

Still have XP on my work computer...No it didn't blow up or get a virus.....Works fine despite all the 'warnings' from MS.

 

Well, it took forever and I don't see much improvement. *grumble*

Too hot to do much except stay in the ac. 106 yesterday. Bought some fresh purple hull peas at the produce market yesterday... so gonna be cooking today. Thinking maybe chicken to go with... we'll see.
