Picture this…

A violent and crazed man is trying to break into a house.

A panicked woman screams desperately to a 911 operator, begging for help to come.

Soon, the intruder is inside.

She, with nothing but a phone in her hand is totally defenseless…

You can guess the one thing that would have change this situation entirely, can’t you?

Ironically, the “anti-gun” video below produced by Everytown for Gun Safety does more to show the need for a gun than anything else.

Are anti-gun advocates really this stupid?

I guess in their minds, violence simply doesn't occur without firearms.... or they believe it'd be better for the woman to be stabbed 50 or so times, beat or bludgeoned to death, strangled... whathaveyou.

Guns are not necessarily the problem. But certain attitudes of people associated with the same, are not particularly good for this society.

And it's something this culture will probably winnow-out, in the next 100 years or so.

Everytown is a deceptive organization to begin with. I remember a few months back they conducted a study that said there were 74 school shootings since Sandy Hook. They used shootings that didn't even take place on school grounds, were accidental, and even a case of self defense to try and bolster their claim of 74 school shootings.

I don't like the entitlement mentality either.

It's the kind of entitlement mentality that is behind the ferguson riots.

It's the kind of entitlement mentality of rapists that say they are entitled to sex and it's okay to burst into some woman's home and force her and her ten year old daughter into having sex with him.

If we could find some way to correct that behavior, then maybe there'd be less firearms on the market.

Vut firearms are not just for home defense.

The point being (in case you failed to recognize it) was that only the perp had a gun . . . you know the old saying:

How do the idealistic gun nuts think this would go down? Assuming the woman is paranoid and always carries her gun around the house, these seem to be a few likely scenarios:

1) The women thinks he has a gun, so she draws hers first. Oops, turns out he didn't have a gun.
2) The women sees him pull out a gun, so she pulls out hers. Oops, he shoots first.

The moral of the story: avoid violence because neither the police nor a gun would likely have prevented any violence.

 

Well, there ARE more guns and there IS less violent crime. You do the math.

A. how is she supposed to take her child away from the situation? she lives in a trailer and if she goes outside there's going to be two men chasing after her and her child

B. that would mean it took the police over 20 minutes to show up at her house, which is all the more reason for her to be armed

C. are you serious right now?

 

Do you honestly ever think that crooks and thugs will never have weapons? Only a fool would think so.

Which is my point. If a crook comes up behind you and points a gun at your head, are you going to reach for your rear holstered pistol or are you going to be sane and cooperate?

Where there is zero guns, there is zero gun violence.

Yes, and parents keep their kids away from poison.

 

I don't think anyone is arguing that having a gun will get you out of every dangerous circumstance, but in the two situations I posted it saved those women's lives (the 1st situation being strikingly similar to the one in the OP video)

 

If it wasn't that pro gun activities were mostly encouraged by gun lobbies which have a massive interest in arming the population, i'd say guns have a reason to exist in people's houses, and if one felt safer with a beretta then he has a right to buy one ( but only after doing some idoneity tests and proper training ). But since there's so much businness around it, it's hard to believe in their sincerity when they say everyone should own a weapon for self defense, even more than one... that's plain greed and malice over common people. So, i wouldn't mind if an equilibrated person owned a gun for self defense, but i'm not ok with nuts owning arsenals or people with mental disorders buying weapons as if they were candies. You can't give everyone a tool which can end another one's life, that's a pretty dumb way to prevent violence and shootings...

 

Obviously it is whos hands they are in and seems to be the major cause of the hoplophobia coming from the left. They think that keeping guns in the hands of criminals and taking them away from peaceful people is the solution. It is illogical and dangerous considering that the # 1 cause of mass genocide in nations comes from their own governments. For example Ukraine. The militia is winning and wont be put under slavery by the IMF oligarchs at least in the south east and Crimea.
