    these guys are all hypocrites!

Trotskyite morons - even Leon himself said that socialism was meant to be international

    you know, like avoiding nationalism

so how comes the Scottish Socialist Party, SPW and other dreadlocked, tofu eating 'politicos' all supported the YES campaign?

    Are they hypocrites or pragmatists?

There was a very real chance of Scotland as an independent country pursuing a more broadly socialist agenda. People are really suffering under the austerity measures, do you support a group that can do something about it now or wait for the revolution?.
Its all very well spouting ideologies but if there is little or no chance of it happening, compromise is the next best thing. That I believe is a fact of life, unless your incredibly rich or unrealisticly stubborn most of us in life make compromises.

It was a big mistake of most of the English left to think Independence was about 'narrow nationalism'. It never was. You do not seem to have heard of Radical Independence - they are the group which chased Farage out of Edinburgh. They received support for Independence from Syriza.

Not all Yes voters supported the SNP but as Tommy Sheridan said " If you see a house you really love, you do not say no, just because you do not like the decoration'.

For yes voters the situation was more fluid but the movement away from Labour is something which ought to be noted.

So was the yes vote, which is why Salmond was making ridiculous promises.

Clearly the yes vote was not about money as the yes vote survived the three amigos. Obviously money is involved in everything and was the focus of the Better Together campaign, both terrifying people they could not survive and bribing them with promises we have yet to see come to fruition.

No one lost diamond and yes people are moving on although of course the Vow still has to be lived up to. We appear however not to be moving on in the way I think you would like. We are carrying on with our democratic voice which was found again during the referendum and that is all that is being spoken about now. You do not like free speech? You do not like politically active people? Can you not see that the Political deadness in England is what made this result in a Referendum?

Why would the three main Westminster politicians race to Scotland within days of the referendum when it looked like YES might win?.
Answer..... To hold on to Scotland of course.
Why would they wish to hold on to a wee, poor stupid country like Scotland?
Answer......To keep a hold of the wealth of Scotland's resources of course. certainly not because they love the Scots, but the Scots can supply what England cannot and if Scotland had gained her independence, Westminster would have lost billions in oil revenues and other resources such as water and electricity which at present go freely south via the national grids from Scotland would have to be paid for.,. (and Boris would be unable to spend all the treasury's money on London which has now to get a 4billion replacement sewage system. on top of everything else). London had become a separate country from the rest of old England and it's time the English woke up to that before it's too late

    Bye the way lil

    This

in response to my giving you information on plans to replace the Labour Party in Scotland - that is to talk about the future, can only be seen as a baiting. Basically you are saying 'Shut Up'.

Like it or not it looks very likely that the Labour Party is going the way of the Tories in Scotland for the reasons presented in that article.

Like it or not the Referendum allowed millions of Scottish people to find their political voice. This was what two years of conversation resulted in and you may be very sure we will not be giving that up.

Things will never be the same again. Possibly I should tell you to 'move on'.

and to keep her position in the world. Do not forget about that Mairead. I agree with you about it being time for the English to wake up before it is too late. I can't remember who suggested England take about two years to think about what they wanted to do - may even have been Miliband - whoever it was I imagine was impressed at what two years of political conversation had done here - a way for people to get their political voice back and to start to remember that in a democracy, politicians are the servants of the people.

I have moved on. You lost the referendum and you're angry. You should be talking about the future of Scotland as part of the UK, instead of trying to stir up division.

The people of Scotland have always had a political voice and I get that you're pleased the referendum stirred things up a bit, but don't read more into it than there is.

The fact is a good many yes voters will begin to shrug their shoulders and carry on their lives as usual, and the small minority of fervent nationalists will go back to carping and moaning, which is just stirring up people like the 45 lot.

The sooner all that dies down the better, because it's doing none of us any favours.

It's only been a week. And what do you mean the yes vote survived the three amigos? You lost.

Pointing out that Salmond was lying his socks off and making promises he couldn't possibly keep is hardly terrifying people.

You would have had no currency, not because of the big bad Westminster government, but because your glorious leader didn't plan for one.

You wouldn't have automatically joined the EU, because that's now how it works.

Businesses would have left Scotland because they need to keep their shareholders happy.

The big supermarket chains would have put up their prices in Scotland, because they wouldn't be happy absorbing the higher cost of transport to a foreign country.

Scotland would have been up the creek before it even started

    Your side lost.

No. I can see a lot of people got carried away with all the rhetoric, but in the end common sense won the day.

re: Trotskyist parties that support Scottish independence

    hypocrites is what they are.

They all positively LOVE mass immigration because their ideology (ie: Trotskyism) opposes nationalism like the plague - yet give them the chance to break from the UK and fool the masses , then it's small minded nationalism all the way!

SYriza, also a Trot like organisation - don't see them wishing to split Greece up though.

Whatever happened to ' workers of the World unite' - how about workers from England and Wales - what do you have against them?

To keep the UK intact, and to protect the people from the vagaries of the world - strength in unity, not division!
Sounds like you want to keep all that wealth for yourself, but aren't you a socialist? surely, you should share that with your fellow men and women.........
