And that is probably why the anti-Israel crowd hates it so much.

Nope. It's because Israel ethnic cleanses as the only country beyond it's borders and replaces 1 race with an other as a policy to enlarge it's Jewish homeland.

Can the local Christians convert the Moslems to Christianity ?

In Israel there is a full freedom of faith.
The missionary activities (no matter, whether Christian or Moslem or else) are generally permitted - except for targeting minors without their parents' consent or offering money for conversion.

Have you ever lived there ?

I'm thinking possibly Palestine has one of the best relationships between Christians and Muslims. Sorry to say the situation for Christians not that good in Israel

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/nadim-nashif/how-israel-targets-its-pa_b_5396594.html

Just a recent example but it is not true that Israel treats Christians well, whether it is not allowing Christmas Trees to being beaten up, to having violent and insulting Graffiti painted on Churches, Christians are in for assault in Israel. Jewish religious extremists are not that different from Islamic ones.

It happens that Muslims persecute other Muslims in some of those countries [think to how ISIS guys treat many other Muslims not in agreement with their "ideology" ... Large part of Kurds is Muslim ...].

    Nope........ they don't.

    - - - Updated - - -

Yes.. It seems that most Kurds are Sunni Muslims. ISIL is a renegade bunch... They are about aggressive (insane) nationalism..not religion.. Religion is just their excuse. We've seen that before.

    Really ?

    http://www.frontpagemag.com/2011/dashton/the-persecution-of-palestinian-christians/

In quite a few countries of the world the Moslems are oppressed, persecuted and even massacred by the others.

China, Burma, Angola, Central African Republic...

    Yes.......

And I made three two week trips to the Holy Lands with much Sunday school class before the 1967 war. Christians and Muslims got along fine in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

I lived in Beirut for a year.... I was never persecuted for my Christian faith once. Some folks weren't too happy about what Israel was doing to Lebanon with US provided armaments and thus, had a little bit of a beef with me about that...but never about my religion.

    - - - Updated - - -

I know of nothing that would prevent that from happening in Lebanon.

The State of Israel officially guarantees full freedom of faith to all of its citizens-including the right to convert the others.
Every years hunders Jews embrace another religions-without being persecuted by the State authorities.
And the Jewish religious extremists are lone wolves.
Like Jewish gangsters or Jewish burglars.

Maybe they saw you as being a convenient mouthpiece or fashioned you as some kind of Judas Goat who might help get non-Muslim Westerners to relax our vigilence toward the creeping Islamic Jihad going on here.

If I were they and that was the case, I'd treat you llike a Princess!

    If that were the case.

If I walked around with a booger in my nose which was visible to all on plain sight what would you think if I continually blamed my snot nose on others?

Bottom line: Worry about the LOG in your own eye before you look at the fault of others.

    Islam needs to change.

    Palestinians need to change.

If you do you will see marked changes in the treatment you receive.

Yeah, right, you're not a Muslim.

    Air jerk.

    Whatever.

I was reading the thread from the end and didn't see you are on the winning side.

Sorry if I mistakenly accused you.

You gotta be clear in your posts about which side you are on.

    :)

Permitted to convert? It doesn't come up for educated Christians because they know that Muslims already revere Jesus.. I have often had discussions about religion with Muslims.. They seem to be pretty well informed about Christianity.. but I am no missionary and they didn't attempt to convert me.

Daily contact with Muslims over a period of two decades makes your remark silly.. Plus, there are some 40,000 Americas working and raising families in KSA alone.

Your personal experiences mean much to YOU but they don't constiitute a convincing argument to those who aren't as obliging and ingratiating to religious racists as you seem to be.
