OK, so it ain't fancy... and we've got a view of an empty warehouse on Elm St. But hey! The rent's cheap, the bar's stocked... and the jukebox is FREE!

Pull up a barstool, folks. This is the place to get away from the political madness... or at least exchange it for general madness! Everybody's welcome here -- no politics allowed and we'll all get along just fine. ;)

Come on now, it ain't purty, but it's home!

Venue Description (for the real deal)

It'll Do Club, Dallas - So it’s midnight. You’re still feeling it. You’re still buzzed. Why go home? You don’t have to. It'll Do Club, located at 4322 Elm St, is open well after normal closing-time, so you can keep the vibe going until it’s scandalously past your bedtime

Carve your initials into a barstool and come back often. Oh yeah, and tip your server. (If you happen to be lucky enough to be here when there actually is a server) :hippie:

Ha! I'm not falling for that one again! The last time I carved my initials on a barstool I got in big trouble. Though maybe if I had selected one of wood rather than a cushioned one they wouldn't have been peeved with me.

I keep meaning to get one of those label maker things, but figure WTH... they make us move like a bunch of gypsies, we might as well live like 'em! ;)

Got any trick or treaters tonight? None here... then again, the porch light is off.

We've had four groups of wee little witches, firefighters, pirates, and princesses, and all escorted by attentive adults. Very nice!

Awwww, those are the ones that makes Halloween fun. Although there were some otherwise fully grown adults in my bldg. who got into the spirit as well. One gal who works in a lawfirm was dressed in a black skirt & sweater, black stockings and high heels. One side of her face was painted like a zombie... and VERY realistic. On that same side, her skirt was ripped and there was a huge hole in her stocking. She was just walking thru the lobby with her lunch, like just another day. Gotta chuckle outta her.

I did a pumpkin teeshirt & jeans. HoHo Halloween.

I'll wear a costume and growl if you'll throw one of those on the grill for about 3 minutes for me.

    Mmmmm, steak.

Here's a recap of the evening.

Neighbor dressed her little tiny puppy, an 19 month old Golden
Retriever that weighs 90+ lbs and Midge in Trick or Treat garb.
Zeus ate his and Midge cruised the neighborhood looking for
    chocolate over kids.

    Here's what I did...

I offered junk mail. 2 accepted and 1 was only 3.

I offered green tomatoes. 1 accepted.

I offered stinky socks. 1 accepted but wouldn't smell them.

All of them demanded CANDY. I told them that she was shopping.
    It didn't work.

Here's a photo of Midge finishing off her second chocolate
    covered kid.

But hasn't that 10 months on Weight Watchers done wonders for my figure, though!

Cold here too, daise. (61 now) Had to fire up the furnace last night. Heard they're already getting snow in Chicago.

DONT FORGET TO SET THE CLOCKS BACK TONIGHT.

Who remembers when it meant an extra hour of partying before the bars closed?

Now I'm just hoping its a little lighter when I get to work.

I'll have that Jim Beam candy, Shang. Now that's what I'm talking about...

I'll dew what Bar. I'll shorely pay you Tuesday for a round of Manhattans today.
Or you better watch out and better not cry because may tomorrow my
bar bill arrives. The only thing that makes sense about a bar is the
the tab. Better to just have another On The Cuff {credit}.

Ah ... you know that I tink. That maybe someone needs to set yer clock back an
hour on Monday.I don't like losing time.I have enough to deal with as is.
Plus when one gets older they need to slow down and let others Wait On You.
Well not You,exactly. But the same principle applies.I learned that in 5th grade.
I tried to impress on the school principle but was shushed.I knew then that I
was on to somethin'.Been a cakewalk ever since.

Evenin, Foolie. I'm all for being waited on. That's the best part of shopping at Neiman Marcus. Their sales people treat you like you're somebody special. Hard to come back to reality when you leave there and you're just another schmuck on the street. :(
