What if Batman was secretly a Satanist is actually working to gather up all the metahumans of earth for one big giant sacrifice to Satan? This has some possibilities.
(Scratches head) Certainly an argument could be advanced in that direction simply because depending on the writers, the era, and changing editorial policies Batman has frequently been presented as just one act shy of being not only a sociopath but a psychopath and a villain in his own right. So there would be only one more small step in irrevocably crossing the line into outright evil; and in a universe in which both science and magic intermingle certainly were Batman secretly a practicing satanist and adept in ritual magic that would explain why a non superpowered mortal always bests men, women, and others that are almost always so much more than merely mortal and also why when the chips are down and luck comes into living or dying, the Batman is always the lucky one. How's that?

It's not luck, he's super prepared. He has files on all of the metahuman heroes and villains so he knows how to defeat them.
DC used to have an "Elseworlds" line during the period they got rid of their parallel universes. So they did issues when Batman was a vampire (which kind of makes sense), a Steampunk Batman, a Superman that grew up in the Soviet Union and who knows what else.
Well. just remember, it's not the number of souls, it's the quality. Heroes have the highest quality of all souls.
I'm not sure if having a dark side makes one a sociopath. I suppose someone can have sociopathic tendancies. I usually go by the medical definition, which is a person without conscience. Having a black temper or even enjoying killing is not psychopathic. People have all kinds of temperaments. Some are less socially acceptable than others. I saw a docu with some young british boys in a group therapy in Afghanistan. This guy had killed a man recently. He was clearly chuffed about it. Quite chuffed with himself indeed. But after a while the psychologist (who probably is a psychopath) shamed him into lying about how cut up he was. What kind of a way to run a war is that? If he enjoyed it, that means he's in the right job. He wasn't a psychopath, just a nice boy who had a triumph in battle.

Craig passed away at her home in Pacific Palisades surrounded by her family on Monday, the statement said. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Aldrich, her sister Meridel Carson and nephews Christopher and Todd Carson. "She felt that she lived a wonderful life and was blessed in many ways," the statement said. Batman is a combination of the ninja and assassin themes as they're understood in western culture. It's never crossed my mind that he was supposed to be a satanist or something, there isn't really such a thing as satanism, it's a fake religion full of trolls.
Batman's major vulnerability is the tragically dark past that motivates him. He is very much his own worst enemy. Robin's death followed by the assassination of Black Canary who had become the Boy Wonder's substitute and the Caped Crusader's lover sours him on humanity in total and he concocts this scheme to rob mankind of its superheroes and leave us naked before our enemies. I think I've seen this done. In fact, every third Justice League story was where some supervillain had come up with a plan to use a trusted member to kill them all wasn't it?
My, she filled out a sweater in the nicest 60's way, didn't she? I miss those fashions. Is it true that these kind of shows kill as many careers as they launch? A role that requires you to act badly may not be the best showcase for real talent after all, yes?
