    now in "rich countries",

1.The top 20% people have over $1,000,000 (average)
    2. The following 20% have over $600,000 (average)
    3. The 20% in the middle have $400,000 (average)
    4, The following 20% have $200,000 (average)
    5. the bottom 20% people have $35,000. (average)

which class do you belong to? 1,2,3,4,5?
if a person has $35,000, then he/she is at the bottom 10%.

I read books about Soviet Russia.
I am so surprise that how important money is in a communist country.

There are many rich people in Soviet, they use golden plates and forks/spoons/knifes to eat.

Class 5, although 35k isn't exactly a "poor" income if you're single with no debt.

Please note that, the $35,000 means everything you own. it is not your wage.

I drive a car which I don't "own"; I live in a house which I don't "own", and the rest of my junk isn't worth 35K. So, am I in a class all my "own"?
    Enjoy!

I think you are asking about net worth, rather than income? I think income would be a more reliable guide to class.
