Lately I've been noticing a trend in most every TV or movie cast, or even commercial. There is always at least one black person in it.

I don't care if the commercial is about a white family reunion. There will be at least one black in it. What's more, if it's a 'dude' commercial, the black guy will be the 'smart' one and the white guy the buffoon.

If this were done with Hispanics (for example, if there were a George Lopez in every ad and TV show) I would be offended and see it as pandering.

    Thoughts?

It's kind of hard to miss. Everyone in the scene is white except one person.

Have you ever watched B.E.T.? They show TV commercials where everyone is black and not one white person in the crowd.

Yes, but I am not paying attention to it.

It's easy to miss if you aren't looking for it.

Some of us are more aware and perceptive than others. The government though does depend on the "stupidity of the American public."

You calling me stupid? that hurts...

Luckily, the country has the intelligent folks keeping tabs on the racial makeup of ads.

Advertising is about getting as many people to buy your product you can. If adding a black person in their commercial increases the sales with the black community, they are going to add one. If not, then they don't bother. This is pure capitalism. You don't have a problem with capitalism do you?

Then why don't they just show a group of black friends together like they do on B.E.T. commercials? Why do they have to stick one or two here and there? But hey, if blacks don't care that they're being pandered to, who am I to complain? I'm just pointing out that they're being played and controlled by the media.

Don't they want money from Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, etc., etc., etc., too?

No, they don't. Companies do not like to make money by selling products to certain demographics. They hate profit.

I agree with the analysis. These people think they're being so altruistic by denigrating whites and portraying them as buffoons because it makes them feel so good about themselves. It's going to come back to bite them on the behind someday.

    From the site:

    http://www.antiwhitemedia.com/

If you think this commercial is anti-White you are a racist plain and simple.

I said I agree with the analysis of why liberal whites pander to blacks by portraying white men as buffoons on TV.

As for the Cheerios ad, I didn't hear of any complaints from blacks about it.
