Croatia is usually considered to be part of Eastern Europe.

There was a thread somewhere about why the USA could not or would not elect a woman president. I couldn't find it here so posted this as a separate thread.

There is becoming more female leaders, as the global society is rejecting male dominance more, and women are looked up to now more and more. Society at least in the US treats men poorly, while women like queens, and are made in the media to be idiots.

People are screwing themselves over with this thinking

I'm going to let you in on a little secret, if a female canditate has good political attributes, other than being a woman she can get elected in any country.

The President is somewhat of a special position–being commander of the military forces and all. There are plenty of strong women out there, but many of them are just (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)y. If the right woman came along though, I wouldn't see any reason why not.

Technically, Croatia isn't...The Croats view themselves as part of Central Europe, along with Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic. They generally distinguish themselves from the Balkans and Eatern Europe.
