Part 28 of Post Your Tough Questions Regarding Christianity

Part 28 is a continuation of Post your tough questions pertaining to God/Jesus/Holy Bible and I will do my best to clarify and make sense of it to those who are unaware...I still have questions and comments I haven't responded to in Part 8 thru 27.

Also I might answer questions that are on other members threads and so this will keep me real busy with the many questions that I will answer from my point of view/perspective keeping in line with Scripture.

I don't want my intentions to come across as converting you or whatever lol... but rather clear up things etc... so ask away.

 

Let's be precise and honest here, it has not been accepted as history by non-believers, however it has been accepted as history by believers of the faith.

 

Thank you...as this makes things very clear. Your perspective is one of the millions one must consider within any of the thousands of religions to choose...whey should anyone pick yours?

And, as it is clear you are Christian...which version is correct?

 

Just like Noah's Ark is accepted as history by believers of the faith. Doesn't mean it's true.

I think many are curious as to WHY you have faith. It often seems theists first decide to believe, and THEN go read a bible (or whatever). Like deciding to buy a yellow car with red seats before you start cruising the car yards, then the minute you see such a beast, buy it without so much as starting the engine.

 

In the Book of Joshua, God commands Joshua to kill all those who would not negotiate with him to become slaves. Weren't all those enslaved or killed Gentiles?
So exactly why should Gentiles worship a God that had many of them killed?

The Bible says that the Tower of Babel was actually Babylon.

 

It was built by Hammurabi and never finished.. There is a picture of it. The descent into illiteracy is interesting.

 

The bible says that snakes talk.

The bible says that woman was made from a rib of man.

The bible says that unicorns exist.

The bible says that trees clapped their hands.

The bible says that the earth stopped turning.

The bible says that a flood covered the entire earth covering some of the highest mountain tops.

The bible says that you should stone your daughter to death should she have premarital sex.

The bible says you should kill an unruly son.

The bible says god has human traits such as jealousy.

The bible says god created good and evil.

The bible says two of every animal on the planet fit in a homemade boat.

The bible says god loves you so much that he created a special place for you called hell... just in case you don't love him back!

 

Pretty good and that's just a partial list.

 

No, don't stop, Mitt! In fact post even more than you now do, if you don't mind. I want to eventually see "Part 100...." The more religion is discussed the more people see how false and dangerous to the mind it is, that's one reason why a recent study showed that atheists actually understood religion BETTER than religious people did....guess why that is!
Science will eventually overcome fairy tales.
Logic will eventually overcome superstition.
Love will eventually overcome fear.
The word "fear" is in the Bible many more times than the word "love" is...tells us a lot about religion.

Wait, this list clearly shows that Christianity is highly immoral....but how can that be, since I thought that Jesus was all about love and cuddly puppy dogs, etc.? Your list looks like something Charles Manson would write......but only if he was whacked out of his brain on meth at the time.

 

Mitt, arguably Jesus was such a poor communicator that there are actually more different Christian denominations (i.e. different opinions) than there are VERSES in the entire Bible (31,102 verses)! Can you at least admit that he was a lousy communicator, especially seeing how he's supposed to be "all-knowing" and "all-powerful" and "all-caring" and all?

 

I'm of the firm opinion that the story has been misrepresented!

Well what with "the Jews controlling all the media", what do you expect!

 

Correct, they need a better god.

 

Joshua is consider what ISIS people feared the most.

 

Because God kept His promised to help the Hebrews build their nation. God also kept His promised to deliver us all including gentiles, atheist and anti God from eternal damnation and finally God reveal to us that He is real and that we are all His children ans are worth saving.

Yes, love will over come fear that is why Christians do not fear tyrants, bullies, anti Christ. Christians have and is always in the forefront defending all the victims of oppression regardless of gender, race, religion, political or social status atheist, communist, Muslims etc. anyone that are victims or target of extremism expect Christians to be there to defend them.

Psalm 23
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Indeed Jesus taught about love including love your enemies that is why Christianity is always in the forefront against immorality and Christians are always targeted by the immoral people, anti God and extremist because Christians stand for truth, justice and most of all we stand up for God.

 

Our faith is strong remember; The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
