This is an outrage! Clearly armor piercing ammo is necessary for both personal defense and hunting. I mean look at how many muggers wear full body armor and how many Kevlar deer there are.

 

there are a zillion other types of .223 ammo that can be used.

hollow point, soft point, FMJ, etc etc...

 

According to the article 308 is next on the chopping block.

Just work your way through the various calibers until everything but BB's are outlawed. This is how progressives deal with not getting the legislation they like.

The vast majority of home defense weapons are already not firing armor piercing ammo, so why aren't criminals doing this now?

 

I think the thought process here is that if people have been reduced to mugging, they probably don't have enough money to purchase body armor in the first place. So, yeah, I guess I would have liberals to thank when Uber-mugger breaks into my house with his full body-armor and my piddly .45 can't kill him.
