Sorry if I missed the thread, if there is one. This show is awesome, and I was skeptical. I just ended season 2, so please, no spoilers.
I saw in the news this week something about Claire Underwood using private email accounts? What's that about?
I just realized, what's going to happen with all those Hillary TV shows now that the leftist media is throwing her under the bus? They just gonna cancel them?
You're not far behind me. Keep watching! One thing I really like about it is that it doesn't seem left or right biased. Not a big Kevin Spacey fan, but he hit it with this one.
His wife gets assassinated by the CIA. I highly recommend the original UK series. Just as good, if not better. Nah I'm up to the same point
I agree. You know it's not leftist when they portray a Democratic President getting on television and announcing (paraphrasing) "our welfare state has failed, the New Deal was fine for a while but its time has passed. We need everyone to work".
We follow this also in Italy. I have to say that I enjoy it, it reminds me the political environment where I had some experience. Here, to be accurate, I guess that many Italians would define that guy a "democristiano". The so called "Christian Democrats" have been notorious for decades because of their incredible capability to conspire and to manage the power from behind the curtains. Italian DC [the party I'm mentioning] has been suspected of anything, from murder of "annoying" politicians to diffused corruption, to secret activities, to not politically corrects relations with the Church, to international intrigues ... In a few words ... good old fashion Italian politicians!
I don't know how far you're into it, but Underwood isn't a Christian. He plays the role when necessary.
Season one was great, season two was pretty damn good, but season three is a major let down. Aside the humorous comedy relief of Russian President "Petrov", this season stinks.
