The Border Patrol needs to be defunded and dismantled. It is a complete joke and serves no purpose other than to harass American citizens with inland checkpoints stopping traffic on freeways hoping they can catch someone with drugs so they can steal their car by way of some illegal asset forfeiture law and then keep the money for themselves. I swear, we are quickly becoming a third world country where law enforcement is only another criminal cartel who feeds off the public.

Same thing happening in Sweden. The pro-immigration multiculturalists have completely infiltrated the immigration offices, basically purging out any government employees who actually want to do their job. They have a "no locked doors" policy. The "detainees" are free to walk right out the front door! or crawl out windows. Obviously the immigration office denies this, but they only hire their own supporters, so who is going to speak out? I have even heard that some of the immigrants that are actually "deported" blatently talk with the immigration employees about how they are just going to take a 2-week vacation, then come back. The immigration office even gives them "spending money".
Law enforcement shake downs are nationwide, not just in LA. In 2013 the Justice Department put the dollar figure at 12 million dollars for asset forfeiture, and that figure is increasing at 20% per year and does not include the assets that were not sold at auction and Law enforcement decided to keep for their own use, including jets, yachts, cars, motorhomes, real estate, heavy equipment, and almost anything else you can imagine. As the policy of the Federal Government has in reality, been to encourage as much illegal immigration as possible, as can be seen by the amnesty programs and ease of public assistance for illegals by governments of both parties over the past 30+ years, the Border Patrol is simply a dog and pony show who's real purpose is simply to expand the police state and to encourage the American public to accept the domination of government over every aspect of their lives. Border Patrol, TSA, and most of the rest of the agencies under Homeland Security are in reality in existence to suppress the rights of the American Citizens.
NO, I am simply explaining why the Border Patrol is being deterred from what most would think are their primary mission. There is no money in rounding up aliens. Besides, the corporate oligarchs want every body they can get in the workforce to drive down wages.
The topic of this thread is that the Border Patrol aren't being allowed to do their job and if they caught doing their job they are being punished. The Obama administration wants the Border Patrol to be changing diapers and making gringo burritos for another country's children and gang bangers, not enforcing our laws or securing the border.

Your premise is 100 percent correct. It is why the government, regardless of which party is in power, will not do something constructive about immigration. If there is no money in pursuing foreigners then the law will be applied in a manner so as to go after someone with money and / or other tangible assets worth seizing. The corporate controllers want to pay low wages and we need not look for any support from them if you want to slow the flow. So, what can we do? I think you allow the employer to hire whomever they want, but at the same time, offer substantial tax incentives for hiring American workers. How does the employer come out best? Does he hire someone from his neighborhood and give them the going rate of pay OR hire cheap labor and pay a higher tax rate for the privilege?
