So Canada can't have border defences like USA? No country is expected to make a loss for the convenience of foreign citizens by providing services to foreigners when there is little or no demand. The appropriate party to act in this instance is Uncle Sam. Medical access should be provided to the nearest Alskan facility, by air if necessary. PS I have worked in Canada 3 times and I can assure you their immigration and border control people are not nice. Remeber that incident, I think about 10 years ago, where they shot a Polish guy to death at an Airport. At a Canadian Airport I had a conflict with an armed goon who told me to go away in a threatening manner after I came to collect a passport during normal working hours. Canadians don't like foreigners and from the delays I saw at inbound immigration they especially don't like Americans.

Here's what you're missing with regards to Canada- anyone is welcome there and can get citizenship easily, except for US nationals. If you want to become a Canadian citizen as a person from the US, it's really difficult. As a hockey player, I visit Canada a lot. I love Canada and the people there. They have their own political problems, but when you compare them to ours, it's nothing. No one hates Canada. Canada is very much loved on the world stage. Basically, they do not want US citizens in Canada. They do not like our politics and bad reputation. Canada is basically like Switzerland, neutral unless asked for help. Yes, they protect their borders, but not from Mexicans. They protect their borders from the US. Mexicans immigrants are quite welcome. Now ask yourself why that may be. I want to live in Canada when I retire. But short of marrying someone there, I won't be able to get my foot in the door. It's that difficult. If I were from any other country it would be easy.

I think you're delusional or flat out full of it. My brother moved to Canada in 2006. There are certain requirements that must be met but they are universal for all immigrants.
If USA border patrols were shut down nobody would miss them. All service providers tailor their services to demand. If there is little or no demand then no provisions.
