That Washington/New York final was fantastic! One of the best series I've seen in years. I think whoever comes out of the west will win the cup. The ducks were pretty workmanlike in dispatching the Flames, but is was a good series. The Hawks and Ducks is going to be a barn burner and as long as whoever comes out alive isn't too banged up I think they will be able to take Either the Rangers or Bolts.
You're right, the Caps/Rangers series was great. As a Ranger fan, it was nearly torture. Just as an eyeball test, the Rangers seem better than they were last year, but they certainly have their work cut out getting by T.B. The winner of the West will rightly be favored to win it all, but we'll see.
Rangers are better than last year imo. Nash has finally settled in and St.Louis is a ranger all the way now. The king is still the king. I was struck by how much discipline the Rangers have been playing with. It may cut down on goal production, but it sure keeps the rondelle out of the net. The hitting was terrific. I may be slightly (cough) bias, but NHL playoffs are the most exciting of any team sport and the Mug is the hardest annual trophy to win. the playoffs bring out the essential essence of the game.
I've been a basketball fan for a really long time, but you may be right - The Stanley Cup playoffs are probably the most exciting team sport to win a championship at. I've switched who I'm backing - I found myself cheering for the Ducks, so that is who I'll be rooting for in this series.
The Rangers performance vs. the Lightening, game 5? Ugh... Now they gotta win game 6 on the road...again.
What an entertaining series between Chicago & Tampa Bay. I'm rooting for the Lightening, but whoever wins, it's been great.
Great hockey. these playoffs have been fantastic. I'm a huge StevieY fan, so I'd love to see him win the cup, but I think Chicago will win.
