That was an amazingly scary thing. We have a double standard in this nation that sweeps aggressive racial problems under the rug, if they're committed by blacks. That's not just scary - it hurts everyone. All this stuff from Obama and Holder about blacks being treated unfairly is fine - as long as they pick the right horses to back. With Trayvon and Brown - they missed by a mile. Both were young thugs and it was just a matter of time. Obama did the same knee-jerk thing when the black professor was arrested, and then he tried to make up for his mistake by asking both the officer and the professor to the White House for a beer. But, it was a mistake that he should not have made. That's the problem as I see it. Black leaders immediately jump to the defense of the black man in any altercation where the black man is arrested or killed, but they do so at the cost of their credibility. We're seeing growing racial divides in this nation and it's not because whites don't understand that racism against blacks still occurs. It's because FALSE accusations take hold and our leaders use them to disparage whites before they even know the truth of the matter. Same thing with the Duke Lacrosse boys. That was a sham, and that gal, by the way, is now in prison for murder. They have to choose their battles better, but even more importantly, they have to apologize when they're proven wrong. So far, they seem unable to do that.
