I suppose you think the trigger of the Israeli military response - the constant barrage of rockets from Gaza into Israel - were not "indiscriminate?" Come on, now, Hamas just recently shot more rockets into Israel. They can only keep that up for so long - then Israel will retaliate again. You'd think the gazans would learn, but they don't seem to. They keep making the same stupid moves over and over and over.

Israel should be commended for not turning that entire strip into glass.

There are more contemporary Hamas documents, such as their 2006 election manifesto, which describes Hamas’s broader vision for Palestinian society and which author Khaled Hroub states, “could be said that the document was designed to carry out exactly the kinds of reform that had been demanded by Western governments and financial institutions.”
