Moscow hosts Victory Day Parade on 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War (English audio)

Enjoy.
Silly Obama and some EU leaders did not come to Moscow. Shame and disgrace them. For the sake of petty political interests, the leaders did not come and cause reputational damage for their peoples.
But we all understand that the people of the Western world and their leaders - not the same thing.
Many ordinary people came to the Victory Parade in Moscow to express respect for the Russian people.
Such as, for example, Steven Seagal.

Look at the Victory Parade and tell me your opinion about the parade, the Russian army and has not arrived leaders.

America sends Steven Seagal to Russian parades and Denis Rodman to North Korean events. Just the way we roll.

Does Mr. Putin come to the US on the 4th of July? Or is he too busy extorting money from the Oligarchs?

Stupid comparison. 4th July - Independence Day of the United States. As June 12 - the Day of Russia. May 9 Victory Day over Fascism, coalition countries. Which includes the United States. I have to explain to you of primitive the concept?
Sept. 2 (Day the end of the Second World War), Putin will visit China.

Berlusconi: the absence of the leaders of the Western countries in Moscow - a symbol of their defeat.

Civilized countries don't do military parades, pretty much two countries do them regularly - Russia and North Korea, China has them once every ten years. What does that tell you? The concept is militaristic and barbaric and exposes the true nature of corresponding regimes. There are hundreds of better ways to celebrate the Victory day. Don't expect any westerner to be impressed, let alone intimidated.

Joke all you want. The message is clear. Russkies mean business. They've drawn their red lines. If the USA crosses the line, we will have another major war in Europe. Europeans have become the U.S hostages. Anyway Russkies are fired up. Their population has been psychologically prepared for any eventualities.

By civilized country Borat means the USA and Israel. The countries which use their weapons to kill innocent women and children, destroy hospitals, schools, water supplies and other vital military targets such as nurseries etc...etc...Borat's civilization.

Not quite the same. The parade was to celebrate and commemorate VE day or Victory in Europe over Hitler and the Nazi's. It was the allied powers, the USA, USSR, France and England against the Axis powers of Germany, Italy and Japan. VJ would come later. Both were heavily celebrated when I was a kid growing up.

Relax dude, it's just a Victory day parade, nothing to do with current events, they've been having one just like this for 70 years now. You worry too much, their weapons is still 2 generations behind, their conscription based army is a bunch of demoralized and abused poorly trained imbeciles who were not smart enough to dodge the draft in the first place. Stop panicking and get out from under that bed of your, worse comes to worst the US will protect and defend you once again. Being the most favorite lapdog comes with nice benefits. But it won't happen, all these parades are just a show to scare overly emotional people like you, nothing more.

Your Google obviously lies. Military Victory day parades occur in Paris, for example. If France is not a civilized country, then I am Rome Papa.

Generation of Google calls himself "civilized". ;)

That was rhetorical question. Your answer wasn't required. If you were civilized enough you would understand that.

You should know that Westerners have a superiority complex. They can't help being themselves.

Russia and what army? Just because russia spent some money the last year doesnt give it anything near close enough to even think about such a thing.

The russian army now would have problems with just europe if it could manage that. NATO is what made putin so scared he's acting out in panic.

YOu mean brainwashed into numbness.

Are you talking about tjechenia now?

Russia is not in a position to take on western powers and hasn't been since the U.S.S.R. collapsed if not before then. Current sanctions do not allow the country to even consider increasing military preparedness or serious technological advancement...basically Russia has shot itself in the foot. Other than the nuclear threat none of the large players takes the county seriously as a worry. Small neighbors might be at risk, but most have NATO alliance which Putin will not risk....even the silly bear will not temp the Tiger.

Their victory would have been a lot sooner had they not made a friendship pact with the Nazis in 1939.

Maybe yes, maybe no. There is no proof for yes. In any case, it is very easy to say what was the best in 70 years after the war was finished.

had the Soviets stood up to Nazi aggression in 1939, rather than enabling it, the war may have ended a lot sooner, and millions not killed.

but alas, Stalin was a land-hungry opportunist, and Hitler gave him a big opportunity.

Actually Westerners are superior in every respect - technology, economy, liberties, freedoms, tolerance, humanism, open-mindedness, mutual respect and acceptance - these are all western values which hopefully non-westerners will eventually acquire, even though it may take centuries.

I have news for you, according to studies such as Princeton's, it's not Russia that an oligarchy, it's the good old United States of America. But I guess you're too busy with the 'play' ballots and media conventions to have noticed it.

You didn't include arrogance and genocide, something they also specialize in.
