Many right wingers still insist that we live in a post racial society. In fact, many insist that minorities have some kind of "advantage" in life over whites. But those who think realistically know there is no truth to that type of mythology as the USA remains a racially divided society which practices double standards. Here are two people (one black, the other white) and we see how police treat them differently even though they are doing nothing illegal while exercising their lawful constitutional rights.


If there are any principled conservatives here, let's see you voice your objection to the criminal actions committed by these white police.

As far as the two scenarios....could it be that a far greater amount of violence in society is perpetrated by black men?

Perhaps if the ignorant, violent black community would get their (*)(*)(*)(*) together, pull themselves out of welfare mentality

Notice I specifically mentioned a PARTICULAR segment of the black population.
Most black people I know are really good people. Period.
Many of them are also just as disgusted as I am with the thugs and their mentality.

While I do no like how the black man was treated differently, you're right. The thug culture has now become synonymous with black culture and cops act accordingly.

 

Now to be fair, we don't know if this is actually due to race. What if he just happened to look like a suspect? That would be reason enough to do that. On other hand, is this surprising anyone?

 

open carry is legal but scares cops, concealed carry is illegal and doesn't scare cops... what is wrong with that picture

I think concealed carry is the way all guns should be carried in public, you have a gun out, it scares people

The first example was Albany Oregon... if I recall correctly. The second was not in Oregon, and I couldn't quite make out the county of the police car to look up the differences in open carry laws.

The writeup in YouTube says "same laws" but I seriously doubt that.

Convenient how they pick two different states, and likely (intentionally) invalidate the whole exercise.

 

What if they had a positive ID on the black man and he is a known felon? No guns period.

There are just too many variables to consider and the information for such cant be extracted out of a short youtube video like the one provided in the OP.

No surprise that so many of the pro gun anti-government right wingers on this forum failed to condemn the criminal actions of the cops. Open carry is just that - open carry so that it does not matter what state it takes place in.

Furthermore, the Constitution has an equal protection clause that says everyone is to be treated alike under all circumstances.


Therefore, if the forum right wingers have any real principle they would condemn these cops, call for their arrest and prosecution, and demand that the innocent victims be compensated by those criminal cops. Failure to do so affirms that these right wingers have an anti-American and anti-Constitution agenda and are political hypocrites.

 

I think open carry is the right way myself. We are opposite on that thought. Once people get used to seeing it daily, the fear subsides.

However, if it was actually an open carry environment, the the cop was in error. Still doesn't mean it was race based either. It is easy to come to that conclusion, but we really don't know for fact.

Instead of seeking principled conservatives, you should first re-evaluate your own principles and stop trying to blame "right wingers" for everything.
