Welcome to the bar, folks. Life's too short to argue politics all the time so grab you a barstool and take a load off. Everybody's welcome here... NO POLITICS ALLOWED.

Beer's cold, coffee's hot and the kitchen is always open. Service ranges from lousy to non-existent, so help yourself to whatever your heart desires.

It behooves me to check in with this latest pop stand and see how
good the bar chairs swivel.Or Bar Stools. Not to be confused with a
stoolie who sits in a Stool chair as if in Judge Joy Beans courtroom which
    happens to be a Saloon.Not to be confused with a Salon.Or Woman's
hairdresser where many a fellar is seen teasing a galsy's hair.

The last time Smartie moved the bar she tried to get me to carve my initials in a bar stool. I told her, "Ha! I'm not falling for that one again! The last time I got blitzed and tried carving my name in a bar stool the bartender got all huffy just because the stool was covered in Naugahyde."

Frankly My dear I don't give a Hoot.
But I think it rather impertinent for a Thread starter to start another thread
{ gee like what a lark } and then just sashay off into the sunset as if a
    bathing Beauty.

Too cold, no doubt - probably half-frozen, not a nice cellar temperature. And it's probably dead pasteurised stuff, not a decent, living, maturing ale.

Now, now sweetcheeks. You got in trouble because a lady in a leather skirt was sitting on that barstool you tried to carve! Here's a magic marker.... use it instead of that pocket knife. ;)

Awesome! A handful of years ago the wife and I toured the River Walk and took some photographs with an eye toward painting a scene but I still haven't gotten around to giving it a shot. Someday perhaps.

We need to move this wet stuff towards California. Lots of hippies about to shrivel up and blow away out there. They need the rain, we dont!

    What Action. Even in the Dean Martin Film ... - Who's Got the Action ? - {1962 }
there is some remnant of action.
Granted one doesn't have to get into graphic detail.
Just a thumbnail will suffice.A nice Holiday weekend juicy thumbnail,
    If'n you don't mind Ma'am.

Sorry, foolie... rain action. It's been raining here for days. That's the action I was referring to.

Not the internet guy I met while I was on vacation.

Good morning barflies. Slept in on my last day of vacay. Yeah, 4:15 will be fun tomorrow. :(

Happy Memorial Day. Remember freedom isn't free and lots have given their lives so we can enjoy what freedoms our own gov't hasn't taken away. Today we remember their sacrifice. :(

Yeah I saw where in parts fo Texas there is deadly flooding.
As I kid I never thought much about a lot of rain. I thought thunderstorms were
neat. Then when I became a Homeowner and saw how it effects property
and the air quality I totally changed my perspective. I'd say the last
20 years I have been real skittish whenever there's too much rain.
I novel I read a few months ago that started off with a great Texas rainstorm
and how it swamped everything in sight on a Farm. The chapter starts out :
" Those old Cows knew trouble was coming before we did.
Buster and Helen looked up at me,and without a word,I knelt down and
pressed my ear to the hard-packed dirt. There was a rumbling,so faint and low
that you felt it more than you heard it.Then I knew what the cows knew - a flash
    flood was coming. " -- Half Broke Horses { A True-Life Novel }
It happened in Texas at Salt Draw at a ranch on the Rio Hondo.
It did. Is all. That's all.

    But what about them Rains.?
I mean, even Sadie Thompson had to fret a little bit over them
    rainy days.

" I learned that ... Love was the only dirty trick that nature played
on us to achieve the continuation of the species. "
    -- Somerset Maughham { author or " Rain " }.
