Never take out a School Loan, instead.....

    Instead of taking out a school loan, apply for as many credit cards as you can and "charge" your tuition. Same if you parents are helping to pay for tuition and housing. 1. credit card balances are included in bankruptcy, student loans are not. Not to say you will need to file bankruptcy, but if you do you can include credit card debt but not student loan debt.

    You can play the "transfer balance" game for awhile. But eventually you must pay off the balance or you will incur interest.

    This works, this is how we paid for both our boys college tuition. We charged it. They graduated with no debt.

    Also, never as parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, co-sign on a College Loan. You will get screwed.
