Is this theory correct that a trial of Pope Francis will cause Catholics to shift their support over to Palestinians and away from Israel?

It does seem logical that it might well have this effect!

The Sanhedrin was the one that put Jesus on trial and condemned him to death.

The game of receiving green light from Pilate to proceed with the execution is described in the bible as well.

The Tractate Sanhedrin 43a describes the judicial process against Yeshu (Jesus) and how he was sentenced to death penalty on the eve of Passover.

Today, the Catholic representative of Jesus will be put in trial as well.

I wonder if the Sanhedrin will ask -one more time- the Italian government to proceed with the execution of whatever the sentencing is against the Pope.

Hope the sentencing is not death by poison gas...

Lemee get this straight. A bunch of religious fanatics (jews) in israel decide that they didn't like what the POPE has said and done so they want to put him on trial? Despite having ZERO jurisdiction or legal recognition of ANY KIND from ANY government?

And the OP is concerned about shifting allegiances at the Vatican?

Knee jerking seems to be epidemic around here.

Eventually something very positive will emerge out of all this........... I read the condensed version of The Bermigo Plan several years ago...… It was brilliant and certainly outside the box thinking....... that used realistic numbers as to what sort of investment would be needed to really make things work........... A few years later I read another plan that did an amazing job of explaining how the Jewish, Christian and Islamic scriptures can be understood in a way that leads to peace rather than war.

I have already read this three times and will probably read it again in the future. Very necessary.

But.... what they are doing has considerable ARTISTIC value....... that could be translated into diplomatic and even economic value?!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/middl...-peace-deal-between-jordan-israel-coming.html

Near death experiencer shown peace deal between Jordan and Israel is coming.

I read both of Dannion Brinkley's books about his two near death experiences back in the '90's.

    ……

"The country of Jordan was changing color" could mean that the deserts were turning green. There is an ancient Islamic prophecy that in the latter days… the deserts of the Islamic nations would be turned green.

This is certainly a good beginning to turning the deserts of Jordan green.

Anybody interested in the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third Temple complex, either perhaps by the year 2070..... or even by the year 2030..... as many Christians like myself might tend to suspect..... would be extremely interested in how this goes?!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/relig...ay-least-expensive-way-stabilize-climate.html

Rebuilding of Jerusalem Third Temple may be least expensive way to stabilize climate?

I am fairly certain that this verse in the Jewish Bible is certainly not advocating that in the era of Moshiach that every body has to go to Jerusalem to observe the Festival of Tabernacles, merely that nations allow their Jews and Noahides to freely travel to and back from Jerusalem in order to observe Tabernacles.

    http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible...&v=1&t=KJV#top
Zechariah 14:17 "And it shall be, [that] whoso will not come up of [all] the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain."

As more of us come to the realization of how dangerous the melting and cracking and sliding that is going on in Greenland and the West Antarctic Ice Sheet really is, we will be more inclined toward supporting the Jewish people in their desire to rebuild their Third Temple.

You do realize that there has been an Israel/Jordan peace treaty in place since 1994 and functioning rather well at this point?

I predict that a half white/black guy will win the Presidential election for the democrats and end a couple of wars and introduce healthcare reform and win a peace prize for doing squat. And I didn't need a NDE to predict it.

The religious fanatics behind this little bit of bad theatre are EXACTLY that - religious fanatics.

For obvious reasons when the fanatics are jewish Israelis, they get way more of a pass than when they are muslim arabs. They might not go around beheading people but they are just as full of self righteous hatred and intolerance.

I am surprised that the BArbro Karlen - Anne Frank case isn't getting more attention in Israel.

I guess many Jews may be somewhat uncomfortable with the idea of reincarnating as a Christian?!

All of us have some biases within the thought patterns that we were taught.

Those 2 nations actually are getting along fairly well, and often train with each other's forces. They allow trade through their nation from their ports to Jordan with no tarrifs, and for decades had been a back channel relationship with other Arab nations.

Plus I can give absolutely no credability to the source website in the first place. Might as well try to make the claim that it was real because it came from PRESS.TV.

I may be wrong.... but my impression so far is that a second group of Rabbi's may desire to compete with the already existing Jerusalem Sanhedrin that has about 200 Rabbi's.

My guess is that this may be their way of proving that they are tougher...… which could appeal to a significant percentage of Orthodox Jews.

Here is an example of a forum that has been constructed by the first official Sanhedrin...…

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Isaiah 65:20 ¶

"There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner [being] an hundred years old shall be accursed."

My wife is from Quito, Ecuador so I heard a lot of amazing things about this area of the world. The first time that I heard about amazing longevity was actually a documentary done back in the 1970's. This explanation may help you to know how Jewish baby boomers can live extremely healthy lives of well over one century.

Yes....... for centuries now when a Gentile so much as asks a question of a Rabbi.... the Rabbi has been taught that he should be exceedingly rude to the Gentile.......... This custom developed because when a Gentile converted to Judaism a pogrom would often soon follow...… so one way to prevent this from occurring was to make it astonishingly difficult for a Christian to get closer to Jewish teachers...… even if that Christian felt a deep connection.... that might even be due to a past life as a Jew?!

    For example...…

Because we have gone into a truly new era as of 2012 this custom of Jewish Rabbi's being rude should be changed....... because Gentiles like myself have valid reasons to connect the fulfillment of Ezekiel chapters 40 to 48 even with something as huge as the stabilization of the climate.

There has been no Sanhedrin since 358 CE. It has not existed in over 1,600 years. And it does not exist now.

Once more Rabbi's read this book, which in pages 137 to 170 verifies a verse in the Koran as well as an ancient tradition among the Rabbi's, I do believe that it will become easier for a follower of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus to become Noahide or even a full fledged part of the Jewish community.

    Yea, so what?

It is a bunch of people who got together and self-recognized them as a recreation of the historic body. They are not recognized by the government of Israel, nor do they have any recognition by any of the major Jewish groups in the world.

Sorry, it takes more then simply getting 70 Rabbis together and declaring themselves as a Sanhedrin to make it so. I expect that body to be recognized as such at about the time that the Temple Mount is peacefully turned over to Israel and a new temple erected on the site.

And remember, the Sanhedrin was basically a group of judges who held trials and made judgements based upon Jewish law. Israel already pretty much has such a body, their own Supreme Court. It was indeed staffed by "Rabbis", but the modern use of Rabbi (largely a religious leader) did not exist in the era the Sanhedrin existed. That role was held by the Priests (Kohen) of the Temple. In that era, Rabbis were prediminantly clerks, teachers, and administrators. There was no requirement to be a "Rabbi", and a great many were self-appointed as such.

To get into even more detail, you would also have to recreate 1 more groups first.

First, the Pharisees. This was the body which represented the Priests and Temple Scribes. These individuals were largely religious, and used religion as the basis for all things.

Then, the Sadducees. Largely the more secular upper-classes, who wanted to move the region into more of a Republic form of government, and away from a religious based one. While still strongly "Jewish", they saw the possibility of a seperation between religion and government.

And in the advent of a "Third Temple", and a recreation of the Pharisees, expect the recreation of the Sadducees to fight them tooth and nail to prevent them from ever regaining their historic power of conducting trials on religious grounds.

Modern Sanhedrin? I see that as no more likely then their returning to public stoning of adulterers.

    EXACTLY correct!!!!!!!

The scholars on the "Sanhedrin" webpage that I referred you to....... will be recognized by Jewish scholars of the year 2100 as THE Sanhedrin........ if somebody succeeds in working with them to set the stage for the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third Temple complex, exactly as described by Ezekiel in chapters 40 to 48, perhaps by the year 2030 or at least by 2070!

If somebody else....... succeeded in working with a different group of Rabbi's calling themselves The Sanhedrin.......... to actually get the Jerusalem Third Temple constructed........ then that other group of Rabbi's would almost certainly be recognized as The Sanhedrin by Jewish scholars of the year 2100!

Also........ as the value of a certain book to bring peace between Muslims, Jews and Christians is finally understood.............. stoning women caught in adultery will become less tasteful even to the most deeply religious Israelis.
