In his nearly 100th (holy cow) visit to the white house.... Monday, at the White House Champions of Change Faith Leaders for Climate event, the host of MSNBCs PoliticsNation, Reverend Al Sharpton, said climate change is a civil rights issue because it disproportionately affects African-Americans. Sharpton said, it [climate change] is an issue of justice, and it is an issue of human rights. African-Americans are at a higher risk of being close, or predisposed to areas of carbon, as well as other poisonous pollution in the air. And we have a disproportionate interest because we suffer disproportionately. He added, You cannot, not deal with climate change as a health issue, as a moral issue, and as a civil rights issue. This in no way falls under the "civil rights" banner. Is this just another "we're victims!" speech by Reverend Al ? Will this make people care more ? What is his intent ? Drag the ozone layer into court ? Is cow flatulence racist ?
"Nearly". I know the count was getting up there. 80+ was last I heard a while ago. Lest any lefty choose to take on that portion of my comment as the important part
He must get the race card job done though.... a lot of people rely on him to cover for their failures. Like the mayor of Baltimore for one.
