Rupert Murdoch, Roger Ailes, and the conservative entertainment flagship network have dictated the rules, and the sugar daddies will be deciding whom to bankroll.

FOX TO ALLOW TEN TO MAKE THE CUT

Neither of the two major political parties are popular these days but with the Democratic Party currently holding a sizable edge over the Republican one (48% very or mostly favorable/47% mostly or very unfavorable vs 33% very or mostly favorable/ 60% mostly or very unfavorable), Republican governors referring to their own as "the stupid party", Senators publicly reviling their own party leaders as "liars!", and the presidential candidates of the 90% White party reviling one another as "idiots" and "clowns", watch for adult behaviour being enforced during the "debate."

All who transcend decorum will be administered a spry spanking by Enforcer Hannity. Otherwise, it could easily come to resemble a Sam Peckinpah production without the wholesomeness.

It isn't going to be an actual debate, just a collection of sound bites prepared to fit into allotted time slots, like commercials. I can't imagine anybody actually wanting to waste their time watching these things, regardless of Party. They make Beavis and Butthead look positively Shakespearean in comparison.

The interesting thing is that the people that do not make it to this debate are out, finished, kaput. So in essence, Fox is in control of who gets to stay in the race based upon their silly polling criteria.

There is not much likelihood that weening it down will make it less ridiculous.

I'm waiting for Piyush "Stop being the stupid party!" Jindal to challenge Chrisitie to a foot race next.

It further confirms that the power centre of the GOP has shifted from the loathed political elite to the thriving media entertainment impresarios.

This spectacle may be more of a Roger Ailes Texas Death Match casting call and the last man standing in the cage gets his own prime time bloviator slot.

The biggest loser gets the nomination.

It will be hard for FOX to make the questions easy enough that the candidates don't come off looking like a clown circus.

That is assuming any of the ten can come out looking presidential. Based on what we have seen from the ten so far these debates could be the best thing that could happen to those who don't get on the stage.

Of course the best guess says that the entire debated will be a criticism of Obama without any actual discussion of Republican ideas. Or they could limit the debate to Republican ideas which might take three minutes.

Maybe each of the ten candidates will be asked to offer his personal top ten list of where Obama was born.

If a candidate cannot think of the names of ten nations, the buzzer sounds, the lights flash, and Orly Taitz presses the button that gets him dunked into the Jello® tub.

Most likely list any of the top five scandals of Hillary Clinton -- you know the Left's latest Anointed One? -- and then watch them babble for ten minutes each over the top twenty of Hillary Clinton's scandals. What a hoot!

Given that Fox is running the debate I'm guessing the candidates will get nothing but softball questions that they can knock out of the park.

"What magazines and newspapers do you regularly read?"

My favourite is still her strangling Vince Foster with here bare hands!

Whatever frothy hijinks are served up by Fox will be a hoot, no doubt.

I look forward to the Democrat foreign policy debate.

"Mrs Clinton, what did you accomplish as Secretary of State?"

"Well, I aided in the liberation of Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, among others. I supported the Arab spring. I sought to give aid to Syrian rebels (Al Qaeda) and I supported the elimination of foreign government leaders".

    Everyone else:

"We never did anything that stupid".

Guy, we're more than a year out. Voters have the memory of a fish (15 seconds). Nothing matters at this point.

And no, no one needs to criticize Obama in this one. Hillary made life a LOT easier on Republicans during her tenure as Secretary of State (which no Democrat seems to point out her 'successes' in. If they can't even do that, why should she even run? This whole thing is stupid).

I cannot imagine how each of the participants are preparing to fend off Trump. He's the loose cannon that they are all gearing up for. His being there is the only reason that makes it worth watching. The Archie Bunker crowd will be cheering him on.

and NBC, ABC, CNN, CBS, MSNBC, and almost every other network are all arms of the democrat party pushing Gazi (global socialist) propaganda onto them masses.

I'm sure your imaginary version will be highly amusing, but don't expect her to provide the wacko birds' fake answer.

After the pissy pantywaists sneering "Liberal!" didn't get much response, they tried to contrive a series of "scandals" that all fizzled, and now they're so desperate that they are raving "A do-nothing!" about the lady who was the first-ever student commencement speaker at Wellesley College, distinguished graduate of Yale Law School, Director of the Arkansas Legal Aid Clinic, civil litigation attorney, law professor at the University of Arkansas School of Law, First Lady of Arkansas, First Lady of the United States (the first in U.S. history to hold a postgraduate degree), first former First Lady in U.S. history to be elected to the US Senate (by the state of New York to serve two terms), U.S. Secretary of State, played a leading role in the development of State Children’s Health Insurance Program, instrumental in the creation of the Adoption and Safe Families Act and the Foster Care Independence Act, successfully fought to increase research funding for prostate cancer and asthma at the National Institute of Health (NIH), spearheaded investigations into mental illness plaguing veterans of the Gulf War, helped create the office on Violence Against Women at the Justice Department, was instrumental in securing over $21 billion in funding for the World Trade Center redevelopment, took a leading role in the investigation of health consequences of first responders and drafted the first bill to compensate and offer them health services, was instrumental in working out a bipartisan compromise to address civil liberty abuses for the renewal of the U.S. Patriot Act, proposed a revival of the New Deal-era Home Owners’ Loan Corporation to help homeowners refinance their mortgages in the wake of the 2008 financial disaster, brokered human rights with Burma, and oversaw free trade agreements with Panama, Colombia and South Korea amongst others as the most traveled Secretary of State in history.

Hillary Clinton is a candidate with vulnerabilities, but mewling "Slacker!" obviously won't be enough for the AWGs to have a chance of beating her.

All the need to do is find a single opponent that Americans might prefer.

Who knows? On August 6 a star could be born!

What did she SUCCEED at as Secretary of State that deems her a prime candidate to LEAD the free world? Very simple and fair question. What successes?

The Republican Party is an arm of Fox and the right-wing media entertainment empire.

The combustive Trump is a blatant hostile take-over that has the impotent, ineffectual political wing about to swoon.

She was no John Kerry, certainly, in high-stakes risk-taking. She had no signal accomplishment at the State Department,, no peace deal personally negotiated, no war averted, no nuclear crisis defused.

John McCain had summarized her stint at State as "outstanding" but, imho, Aaron David Miller, veteran diplomat and scholar, more accurately summed up her tenure: “She was a fine 'secstate' but not consequential.”

Nevertheless, my cogent point stands: Angry White Guys' sniveling about any phase of Clinton's extensive resumé is a futile self-indulgence if they cannot proffer a preferable alternative to the American electorate.

Unless they are content to pleasure themselves with yet another "Romney Landslide!", they'll need to find someone Americans would rather have as president.
