This short news story didn't merit much coverage, I suppose because it's not exactly "new" news, since the entire year of 2015 so far has been the hottest on record. But it is useful to keep track because those who need to deny that people are causing a lot of this continue to work to cripple or totally eliminate the EPA and all of those "nasty" regulations that keep the air, water and land cleaner at their expense.

Anyway, with another Dem president coming in 2017 and a good chance of Dems re-taking the Senate, looks like we'll be good to go for a few more years.

Global warming is a fact. Now, show me one thing that global warming supposedly causes that can be fixed by the government.

The Earth is 4.5 billion years old. How old is this record you speak of?

Why do you have do put the 'supposedly' in there? It's sad how disingenuous conservatives choose to be on this issue.

We could massively invest in renewable energy. Which one? Who knows, let's find out. Why couldn't we have an apollo program-like effort with the goal of getting us off of fossil fuels and achieving energy independence? How many technologies could we develop? How many positive economic side effects could come of a massive engineering and technology venture? We believed in science and technology without knowing for sure that it would work. How great would it be to tell the oil producers in the middle east to drown on their oil?

We did it in the 60's, why not now?

Yes, the Democrats do seem to have magical powers to lower the temperature at will across the entire planet.

That's good, because when I saw this the other day, I realized the world is actually in a May Day situation; http://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news...eefs-and-their-underwater-beauty-508958275889 When Coral reefs die because of continuing rising water temperatures, we are seeing the beginning of the end for the food chain in the oceans. And I'm not sure anyone but a Leftist truly understands what is going on here, which is why I am glad one will get elected. Compared to our worries and security about Iran, Iran is no more of a problem than getting something caught in your teeth, compared to dying coral reefs.

Great describe the cuts and how they would help. Also if this such a concern why just the military why not across the board? I mean it is a concern right? Or did you just throw out the military as bait to see if it bothered me? Seems you just want to get into yet another partisan (*)(*)(*)(*) slinging contest.. Are you concern about this topic or is it just a dog whistle issue for you?

When did you all of a sudden become concerned? I thought the concern from the Right was about getting taxed for problems you all claim didn't exist? So why would I discuss solutions with you?

That's easy...corporate subsidies. Make MNC pay their fair share of taxes!!! That part isn't rocket science.

    Invest better.

So a failed investment means we stop trying? Are you suggesting that we abandon solar power all together because of solyndra? Good thing you were not part of NASA in the 60's. Failure is an important part of scientific discovery.

Why just those? This is a global issue is it not? Seems a third person that is more interested in talking points and bait then actually sharing ideas and discussing the topic.

That's really smart with Iran getting a nuke, thanks to your president...we don't need to fix global warming if we're going to have global annihilation.

His skepticism is fair when the majority of people who think it's not even a problem exist in your party.

That being said, the money from the entire F-35 project could have made a great start to a massive energy project.

Your question was about where do we find the money. I provided the answer.

Yes, we will have to work on the international stage too, but we need to lead by example.

I'm not a Republican. Like i said nothing but partisan (*)(*)(*)(*) slinging. I'm all for canceling that program but much of that money is already spent and they are factoring in the next 55 years something you left out.

Well since you think that will solve the issue alone show it.. Heck it its that simple im all on board.

Exactly, these liberal loons act as if there is a switch they can throw to stop or reverse it.

Global warming is a fact, but it's not going to be the end of the world.

    Like we did with Solyndra?

If it weren't for the fact that the United States and the Soviet Union both wanted to weaponize spaceflight, the Space Race never would have happened.
