Your source is a little selective in their reporting. The farmers are also protesting high taxes, not just the Russian embargo. It is somewhat ironic that they are protesting high taxes while simultaneously demanding more direct aid to them. Why do they think their taxes are so high if not to pay the price for socialism.
Farmers want the money which they earned with a hard work. And embargo from Russia it too the reason why they don't receive their money. If politicians sit in the warm offices - listen to orders from Washington and supporting sanctions against Russia. Let these politicians also indemnify loss to farmers. In any ways.
