    Nations have always paid for peace, unless they believe in conquest and war. The Byzantine Empire always paid for peace with its adversaries and the empire lasted for one thousand years. The US did after WWII, but only for a short while. Now the neo cons in Washington prefer manipulation through propaganda and NGO's, as well as war.

    Russia has no choice but to keep the Chechnyans on their side, since the alternative might be a takeover by the takfiris like ISIS and that would be a threat to the Russian federation. The Chechyans are good soldiers, and Kadyrov is giving their services to Russia. I believe they are fighting in Syria.
