    anyone knows generals are equal to which rank of government officials?

    5 star generals are little below the presidents.
    and there are 3 six star generals in America, include the first president of America.

    Generals and Admirals are equivalent to civilian Senior Executive Service (SES) personnel. A one star general or admiral is equivalent to SES-1. 2 star, SES-2. 3-star, SES-3. And 4 star, SES-4. Military O-6 (Navy Captain, or other services' full Colonel) are equivalent to government GS-15, military O-5 is equivalent to government GS-14, and O-4 is equivalent to government GS-13.
