Minutes ago Matt Drudge snuck into the Alex Jones Radio broadcasting site to pat Alex Jones on the back for his astounding ability to remain an individual and a trail blazer who believes in Rugged Individualism.Digressing as to this Country and what it means to be free and a Patriot.Matt Drudge the infamous recluse was camera shy,of course.But his message was vast and all consuming.He explained how he Doesn't DO Social Media.No Facebook or Twitter or even YouTube. Because he feels it's been carefully crafted as GroupThink.That there really is too much pressure to be liked with comments and like or dislike.It's basically garbage in and garbage out.It's all Corporate groupthink.Meant to subtly influence our ability to be Individuals. That one really isn't much of an individual on Twitter or Facebook. Not much in the way of substantive anything.It's like Kindergarten for those old enough to read or conveniently dismiss that they are in fact an adult. Social media is a corporate plot to distract us from important and serious news and any ramification that impact our future.It is custom tailored to Transform us,into this Kafkaesque Other World where reality is what we're told or supposed to believe in.Social media is an attempt to play chess with the character of mankind.Tinker with our sensibilities and streamline a new way of approaching and going about our daily lives. I keep telling my wife not to use social media. It's a bit like the CB radio craze of the 60's and 70's. It started out as seeming like a good idea but quickly deteriorated into a pig pen of idiots. There is an endless supply of money to made on PT Barnum's axiom that a sucker is born every minute. It's a sad state of affairs that people will eagerly throw away the gold of privacy and free speech to get the glitter of cheap gossip and mindless chatter. They create a file on themselves with their imbecilic blathering that any agency is more than happy to use against them. It truly is a sad state of affairs.

In this I am like Drudge.I see no appeal in Social media.I'm not interested in being like a brain-numbed Kardashian zombie.Facebook and Twitter are just a playground with near worthless chatter and gossip and chit chat. I've lectured Miss Smarty at her Bar & Grill numerous times about inane { hate that word } Chit Chat.I have little to no interest in being Liked or referraled { a word } around this playground where it is assumed one is an Individual.They are not. I know little about "Social Media" (nor, for that matter, the "Anti-Social Media" that is comprised of relentless, flatulent bombast via radio waves) but must concede that I am favourably disposed to any show business entertainer who sports a hat. Whether Drudge swiped the haberdashing shtick from Walter Winchell or Jimmy Duarte, it's a raffish stylistic statement. My friends and I refer to Facebook as "Face-(*)(*)(*)(*)" (last part rhymes with 'muck').... By and large, Facebook is little more than an unproductive amusement for people with way too much time on their hands. At its worst, I can see how a person's Facebook page and posts provide ample information to absolutely ruin their own lives. I had a Facebook account about five years ago for all of maybe three months. After I realized what this thing is, I ditched it. As for Drudge? Well, yeah, we're both Conservatives, but I'm more the "economic" type of Con, with almost none of the "social" Con in my mindset. I don't really give a damn what people do to themselves, so long as it doesn't involve me in any way. A general observation about Conservative "predictors", though, is that they are often in the camp that suggests you run out and buy gold and silver because the stock market is going to crash and the grocery shelves will be bare. Uh-huh... about the ninth or tenth time you hear this sort of big panic alert over about three or four years, the shock-value is diminished considerably....
