Planned Parenthood's founder Margaret Sanger was quite clear on her objectives.

She didn't mince words or even try to sugar coat them.

She said what she thought and did what she could to implement her ideas.

I can't understand how anyone could support or even fund her evil Planned Parenthood organization.

“We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population,” Margaret Sanger

Total fabrication, out of context words, and silly use of the word "satanic" (which shows what a stupid, juvenile article it is).

Maybe you'd like to take up the challenge in the Debate and Contest Forum, "Was Sanger a Racist".....you won't go because you will lose.

The rightwing never runs out of lies and distortions because they cannot afford to...it's all they have left. And this slandering of Sanger just happens to conveniently pop up before every POTUS election...

Although you may be terrified of facts , here's what Sanger said

:""""We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."
-Margaret Sanger's December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble, 255 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts. Original source: Sophia Smith Collection, Smith College, North Hampton, Massachusetts. Also described in Linda Gordon's Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America. New York: Grossman Publishers, 1976. """

She didn't want blacks to get the ERRONEOUS idea they wanted to exterminate the Negro population.

Common sense would tell you that whatever Sanger thought or said she is dead and Planned Parenthood is not racist, NO one from PP has FORCED anyone of any color to get an abortion.

:) Right, and they don't want facts or education to get in the way of a good "bumper sticker" philosophy....

    haha!!!!

from the website that says "Let us not lose sight of the fact that Planned Parenthood is a satanic organization "

plus Sanger's quote is totally taken out of context.

what she was saying is that she didn't want blacks to have the false impression that by advocating for abortion rights, they were really calling for black genocide.

but never expect a biased/dishonest blog like this one to speak the truth

I changed it to outright lie (referring to the article). Sanger never said the words quoted in the OP.

She did say this but there is context missing. Margeret Sanger did speak at Ku Kux Klan meetings. If she was a conservative icon, then it would be widely accepted that she was a racist.

Certainly, there are black leaders who believe that Margeret Sanger did want the extemination of the black race as part of her "Negro Project", including the likes of Angela Davis.

Iremon, I appreciate that. I know we disagree on a lot of things, but having anyone on this forum making an admission to anything is quite rare indeed. Well done and my estimation of your character has risen considerably.

Sanger spoke to a gathering of KKK women to talk about BIRTH CONTROL......

People who think Sanger wanted to exterminate the black race have NOT studied Sanger...they bought the bumper sticker....because it EASIER than thinking or doing research...

In 1916, Sanger opened the first birth control clinic in the United States, which led to her arrest for distributing information on contraception. Her subsequent trial and appeal generated controversy. Sanger felt that in order for women to have a more equal footing in society and to lead healthier lives, they needed to be able to determine when to bear children. She also wanted to prevent unsafe abortions, so-called back-alley abortions,[3] which were common at the time because abortions were usually illegal.[citation needed] She believed that while abortion was sometimes justified it should generally be avoided, and she considered contraception the only practical way to avoid the use of abortions.[4]

In 1921, Sanger founded the American Birth Control League, which later became the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. In New York City, she organized the first birth control clinic staffed by all-female doctors, as well as a clinic in Harlem with an entirely African-American staff.[citation needed] In 1929, she formed the National Committee on Federal Legislation for Birth Control, which served as the focal point of her lobbying efforts to legalize contraception in the United States. From 1952 to 1959, Sanger served as president of the International Planned Parenthood Federation. She died in 1966, and is widely regarded as a founder of the modern birth control movement.

All this other stuff is just crap

According to new liberal/progressive standards, the fact that she even spoke to a gathering of KKK anything makes her a racist. Y'all created these bull(*)(*)(*)(*) standards and now you'll have to live with them.

Sanger is interesting, there's enough proof she was racist, but there isn't in terms of being made to kill of Blacks. At the same time oddly Blacks are the primary target and receivers of abortions. It's all very odd.

The best I can say is she was racist and I suppose that's enough right there.

And she has largely succeeded: In New York City for instance, 6 out of every 10 Black pregnancies end in abortion. In the rest of country it's 1 out of 3.
