    Why is it that most war poems, such as those of the First World War, were often incredibly unpatriotic?

    I suppose you would need to give examples to see which ones you are talking about specifically. Generically speaking, there are writers on both side of that spectrum.

    I can't think of any that aren't anti-war! Which one's do you have in mind?
