Canada to fly in 900 Syrian refugees a day: reports

Ottawa (AFP) - Canada plans to fly in 900 Syrian refugees a day as of next month, according to media reports, as the defense minister said showing compassion for these people sends a message to Islamic State extremists.

Canadian officials said details of a plan to take in 25,000 Syrian refugees by year's end would be announced Tuesday. . . . .

    Dear Americans,
How much to you love that longest, unguarded border, now?
Read me now and believe me later - the Canadian border is a sieve.
Bad guys imported to Canada are a threat to Americans.
Witness the security of the Euros and no border between Belgium & France, Not a "real" border anyways!

What can I say, but - "Eh".

Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic,
regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.

They have weaponized weather bringing the drought upon us.

I have an idea. why don't Canada take those "refugees" they can send them to Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Labrador, or Ontario, including the Northwest Territories. Then if they attack us we can respond and finally incorporate Canada into America.

Terrorist attacks in the US have been by terrorists you let in, primarily from Europe. So don't look north to assign blame.

Even ONE coming through a leaky border as easily as crossing from Belgium to France
is NOT acceptable to this American.

northern border? no such things exists.

there is no fence, no line, nothing seperating Canada from the USA.

anyone can walk to the USA from Canada.

I could walk to Quebec or Ontario right now if I wanted to.

There are electronic systems and patrols to detect intrusions. You'd be picked up pretty quick.

Obama warns against overreaction to Islamic State attacks

"Trying to reassure a nation on edge, President Barack Obama said Sunday the Islamic State group "cannot strike a mortal blow" against the U.S., and he warned that overreacting to the Paris attacks would play into extremists' hands. "We will destroy this terrorist organization," he vowed. . . . .

What is a mortal blow, the survival of Sasha and Malia?
Okay so killing thousands of Americans ala 9 - 11 is NOT a mortal blow.

Obviously, Obama is not going to fortify the longest unguarded border against . . . . :flagcanada: and their terrorist embedded with Syrian refugees. Go figure! I can't.

On the positive side.......... our new Prime Minister Trudeau has wisely decided to take in very few refugees who are young men...… unless they are obviously in danger of being persecuted by zealous Muslims.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2015/11/25/syrian-refugees-canada-gay_n_8650582.html

How Canada will screen Gay Syrian Refugee Men.

    ..................…

    P. M. Trudeau.... the probability of these Gay Islamic men becoming terrorists or suicide bombers is unlikely indeed!

I suppose this could even fit somehow into the plans of the Being of Light of NDE fame for the Gay Community?????!

I personally believe that we Canadians should..... do exactly what you suggest... but it should be done through the private sector....... not through the government sector......… because the private sector is much more free to screen these refugees?!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/canad...ts-take-937-those-syrian-refugees-canada.html

Mr. Justin Trudeau, let's take 937 of those Syrian refugees to Canada?

Mr. Justin Trudeau, I am truly impressed to see that you also met with King Abdullah of Jordan during his recent visit.

For years now I have been thinking that documentary, reality and semi-reality science fiction film projects can be used to address some of the massive problems that humanity is facing.

Hollywood has often dealt with the possibility that many theoretical physicists have postulated, that time itself may not be limited to being one straight line but instead may branch much like the limbs on a tree.

Let's imagine that a moment in 1939 can be recreated and we get to do a retake on Canada's decision regarding the M. S. St. Louis?

    ....................(post #6)....

Actually, I would like to see something along this line done one hundred or even one thousand times and take 93,700 to 937,000 extra refugees from Iraq and Syria into Canada….. but in order to do this many times….. we need to start by doing this at least once!

So many people have left Nova Scotia, to work out west in Alberta, that it would not be difficult to find housing for them!

By extra, I mean over and above the ten thousand that Canada plans to take here anyway over the next three years.

Moi621................ about twenty or thirty years ago Mr. Lewie Smith passed on a story to me that was told to him by a Mr. Mac Bond from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.

Mac was a WWII vet who stated that the heroism of the Ghurkur soldiers astonished him and his buddies. One time a particular Ghurkur Canadian Black Ops soldier went out from camp and was gone for days.

They all thought for sure that he had been killed or captured but.........… several days later he came back into camp with a massive gad of German ears......(Ghurkurs were paid by the number of ears they collected so perhaps his wife back home was delivering another child........ or some other bill had came up........ and this Ghurkur soldier may have needed some extra money).

It is my theory that the Gurkha soldiers of India saved the lives of thousands of Canadian soldiers through their heroism......… because their job was to keep the Germans scared.... and unable to even sleep properly..... so that they would be less efficient while they were fighting................. I actually suspect that they did their job so well that hundreds of thousands of Canadian soldiers were saved by our Ghurkur allies................ which means that hundreds of thousands of American soldiers were also saved because if those extra Canadians had been killed by well rested German soldiers.....then more Americans might have been pressured to join in the war effort even earlier!

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurkha
Oh.... thank you for inspiring me to begin a new discussion...…

Did Gurkha soldiers from Nepal save the lives of thousands of Canadians?

I didn't say that. Let me rephrase my post. If Canada accepts "Syrian Refugees" willy-nilly without investigation there is plenty of room for them in the provinces of Canada. That would be a threat to the national security of both Canada and America. However, after this post was submitted, the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has said that only families with children would be acceptable for entrance. Military age single men would not be allowed entrance.
