Some news from Ukraine. According to the new Ukrainian law on "de-communisation", which means all geographic names linked with Communism must be changed, the parliament of the city of Dnepropetrovsk approved to rename the city. Dnepropetrovsk was built during Soviet times and named in a honour of some Communist activist Petrovsky. 33 of 35 deputies supported the decision to rename the city. So, the new name of Dnepropetrovsk is... Dnepropetrovsk. But as the local parliament explained, the meaning of "petrovsk" is now not about communist Petrovsky, but about Saint Peter. At the second anniversary of Revolution of Dignity the cities of Ukraine had commemoration rallies.
