I am a little concerned about the way the government has gone about trying to force people to immunise their children. Now if your kids are not immunised you are excluded from a range of welfare payments (not that I agree with the welfare payments anyway but that is another isssue). What is the connection between child immunisation and welfare payments? Of course there is no connection whatsoever it is a subtle system of punishment for parents who do not conform to the prevailing political/health opinion.
We should all be concerned about this, we already have forced medication in the form of flouride in the water and folate added to all flour. Once upon a time children were dusted with DDT powder because it was the current 'best practice' opinion.

Once upon a time, doctors advocated that ""smoking" was good for your health too. As a very wise aunt once said: doctors are the only ones who can bury their own mistakes.

Welcome to the new and improved police state. I have been saying for ages that we are not living in a democracy but I have been cried down. I think anyone being forced to vaccinate children in fear losing their tax payer funded welfare payment is sound proof we are not living within a democracy but a dictatorship. Politicians have no legal right to force people to vaccinate children or lose their welfare payments - this is a human rights issue., and needs to go to the International Human Rights Commission for assessment and testing.

One of the reasons why anyone with IQ over 60 has a good water filter and never drinks water from the mains system.

Google chlorine and chloride, both in the water supplies - the chemicals will scare the s.h.i.t out of anyone.

Have a look at how many chemotherapy drugs that are suppose to cure cancer actually cause secondary cancers - and they know about it. Its not a conspiracy theory, its a known fact even within the medical profession itself. :roflol:

When I was kid we only got the polo vaccine. Very kid just simply suffered a bout of measles, chicken pox, mumps, etc and gained immunity naturaly. But that is beside the point.

We also got vaccinated against polo and whooping cough. Turns out, that that vaccination against whooping cough didn't last like they said it would, and now anyone who was vaccinated when they were a kid against whooping cough can get whooping cough. :roflol: :roflol:

So much for the whooping vaccine I got when I was a kid. :roflol:

If it wasn't intended to last like they claimed, then why was I given it back then?

I trust snakes more than I trust pharmaceutical vaccinations, at least I know what a snake is.

The bodies natural immune system is the BEST. Stay away from BIG pharma cancer causing drugs being injected into children as vaccines.

Vaccinations are one thing that doing to yourself can impact on others. Giving smallpox vaccines to everyone ensured the end of smallpox.

I am not against vaccination just they way they have gone about trying to force people to do it. They should be targeting the whole population not just the lower socioeconomic welfare recipients. But then again perhaps the higher income earners are more intelligent and don't need threats of lost welfare to vaccinate their children...

"Herd vaccinating" is only a recent term. Human being have been living in "herds" for thousands of years, and have been able to manage most minor diseases living in a group environment without everyone in the herd being vaccinated. So why all of sudden do human beings need "herd vaccinations"? Is there really a problem with a few people in the herd getting sick to the point everyone is now forced to take unknown vaccinations?

They said the same thing about whooping cough, but that was a lie. Has smallpox really been eliminated, or will smallpox return one day, even though people were vaccinated against it, like they were with whooping cough?

I know of no evidence of people saying that whooping cough was 100% eradicated. Do you have any good sources for that? Here are a couple of sources about the history whooping cough

    http://jid.oxfordjournals.org/content/174/Supplement_3/S259.full.pdf

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pertussis#History

Smallpox exists in two labs in the world. Unless, by accident or design, it escapes from these labs that are the only places it exists.

I'm sorry, but the doctor that jabbed that vaccine crap into me as a young child, told my mother that it was a vaccine to stop me getting whooping cough, and that was a lie. He never told here anything about the vaccine wearing-off over time, and I would have to constantly be re-vaccinated.

How many other parents who got their kids vaccinated were told the same lie, or were not told their children would have to be constantly be re-vaccinated?

Is there any subject that you know more than nothing? Death rates to "minor" diseases used to kill a huge number of people.

You do realise they inject anti matter into your body when they use a PET scan on you?

Any idea what happens to your body longterm when anit matter is released into it? :roflol: :roflol:

    http://clearscience.tumblr.com/post/1553124232/antimatter-is-used-practically-in-medical-imaging

I seriously think you are so foolish, that you would eat shyte wrapped up in colored paper, if a scientist told you it was chocolate. :wall:

You're a scientist right, and you know what chemicals all these vaccines are made form, and how they are made - right?

You also know if anyone of them would be damaging the bodies natural defense systems long term too - right?

Oh, a scientist or doctor told you it was ok. :roflol: :roflol:

Would you prefer a lifetime of care for a child with post-measles encephalitis? How about the PICU admission required for Whooping cough - at $4,000 per day?? Not to mention Tetanus which takes about 6 weeks in ICU.

Do you realise that we do not have a resistant TB in this country because we vaccinate early?

How about meningococcus? You know that horrible bug that left people, if they survived, as quadruple amputees.

Then there is plain old chicken pox - people have started "chicken pox parties" again to "immunize children" (*)(*)(*)(*)ing idiots! You can't get immune to chicken pox that way - once you have it it stays with you for life and can sneak up on you later as shingles

    - - - Updated - - -

    Yep

Want to measure your life experience against more than 20 years as an ICU nurse?

    They also died

I have seen a case of post measles encephalitis - the child was what is described as a "floppy baby" no focus, no recognition of surroundings no purposeful movement.........

Twenty years later this poor thing is probably still alive being tube fed in a nursing home

Price you pay for modern medicine to keep alive those with no life

I'm not surprise at all by this comment. Considering its come from someone with a very closed mind, and one who seems to have been brainwashed by 20 years of mainstream medial dogma.

Maybe you would care to explain why Oncologists still treat cancer patients with Chemotherapy, when they know that close to 97% of Chemotherapy doesn't work?

How many cancer patients in Australia are offered Chemotherapy sensitivity tests before treatments?

An "Alternate medicine" site that I cannot find the actual article/you tube on and a blog which you obviously did not read lols!!!

I mean if you want to go to some alternate medicine person and pay them hundreds of thousands of dollars for water which may or may not have 2-5 atoms of active ingredient in it whilst eschewing the essentially free medical treatment to be obtained at any public hospital please choose your own path. We cannot make you undertake treatment you do not want, neither will we force you to. We will not even stand by your bedside in the palliative care unit telling you that we told you so. But frankly I would actually READ your second link - you might find why that alternative medicine claims are completely and utterly bogus

Meanwhile enjoy this little gem about alternate medicine treatments

The internet has been like crack for the 'my opinion beats your facts' crowd. Now they can get access to all manner of 'factish' material that looks credible to people who are already inclined to believe it. The idea that if one part of a discipline doesn't work perfectly then the whole thing can be junked whatever the evidence for the rest is a fundamentally self serving way to avoid dealing with mountains of evidence for what works.

Anti-vaxers & the like are to medicine what creationists are to biology, archaeology, paleontology, genetics and geology.

As the amount of information available has gone up so has ignorance.

This is because most people lack the necessary critical thinking skills needed to work out which information is good and which is nonsense.

Then throw in the "I have an open mind which is why I reject science" and the "My opinion is just as valid as anyone's!"

I was just watching Dara O'Brien https://youtu.be/DHVVKAKWXcg?t=9 and I have to agree with him about "if they say "there is more to life than evidence" then they should get in the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing sack and be beaten with sticks"

I am a nurse and a science nerd from way back. It almost depresses me the degree of BASIC ignorance on how to judge good evidence from bad.

Over and over again I get offered unreferenced opinion blogs and told they are more valid than peer reviewed published meta-analysis

There is little or no understanding of science itself - look at the claim that PET scans use Anti-matter!

This is why I linked to the DHMO website, even though it is a joke - because I have yet to find anything including warnings about DHMO that someone somewhere will not believe - even when you spell out the Di=2 Hydrogen mono - 1 oxygen they do not "get" it - I mean who does not know what H20 really is? Water DOES do all of the things claimed on that site but, like so many "alternative therapy" sites it is the way in which it has been presented that makes it sound bad

Blogs are easy to read & understand. Refereed articles usually require more specialized knowledge to really get it. People are responding emotionally. The like the idea that they are as 'smart' as people who do this for a living and they like reading things that tell them what they want to hear. In order to back this up they need to construct a world were intelligent & well qualified people who dedicate their lives to studying these things in an environment where their conclusions are constantly evaluated, tested, questioned & criticized by equally well qualified can be dismissed. This is where we get the conspiracy theories, the exaggerations, the misrepresentations of data & the spinning of any negative into a discrediting of the whole profession. You convince yourself that 'experts' are all fools or liars, so your opinion & that of some blog you read is of equal or superior worth.

    Feelings generally trump facts.

Personally I don't care if people want to give themselves over to fantasies about the curative powers of water or crystals. Self selecting a shorter life is everyone's right. Selecting that for children who can't choose for themselves, risking the health of others who are doing the intelligent thing or demanding that Government subsidize these fantasies is an entirely different issue.

I don't think people should be compelled by law to vaccinate their children, despite the danger. They should be compelled by law to: remove their children from Government run schools; inform the children of their status; inform all parents with whom their children come into contact of their status; inform medical professionals with whom they come into contact of their status; be legally liable for any medical costs of children infected by their children. They are free to make their choice, so are those with whom their children come into contact. They are not free to endanger the health of others

Unfortunately this would end like the drivers licence debacle here in QLD. We have to "inform" the dept of transport if you have a medical condition for your licence. This includes starting on long acting insulin, or being diagnosed as having sleep apnoea. There is no restriction if you HAVE sleep apnoea but are not diagnosed but once diagnosed you have to not drive until seen by a specialist who then can sign off a statement for the "medical condition" on your licence - despite the fact you probably have had the condition for years undiagnosed and really are no more risk that the person who had a couple of sleepless nights with a new baby. This caveat to driving carries a $7,000 fine, loss of licence and possible jail if caught. However it is really up to you, not your medical officer, to inform the department of transport that you have this medical condition

As you can imagine it is not working - worse I have patients I KNOW are driving when they should not be. One bloke who was on home oxygen told me that it was fine - he just kept the oxygen cylinder on the back seat when he drove. I know of one person who had very poor eyesight and was still driving. Geeeesh! I had to tell them a Sat Nav is NOT a guide dog!

What I love is that in most people if you show them the evidence it'll convince them that they were right all along even if the evidence totally contradicts their claims. They just take snippets from it to back up their already held beliefs.

Vaccines cause autism. Show evidence that it doesn't. They'll look at the very low rate that vaccines cause problems in people and convince themselves that's the vaccines causing autism.

I loved the ones that would use the CDC figures for vaccine side effects claiming that X number of people died following a vaccine - and when you drilled down on the data I discovered that the CDC was lumping all adverse incidents within a certain time frame into the vaccine data as raw data and then sorting it out to vaccine specific. Upshot - the data included deaths from MVA. Soooooo - by that reasoning vaccines cause car accidents??? You would not believe the response! :p
