Anybody seen it or going to see it in the theater?

Have heard mixed reviews so far, want to go see it this weekend if possible.

My brother already has a screener (a promotional version) he downloaded.....

I was going to watch it last night but apparently it's pretty long and I wanted to get some sleep instead instead lol..

I get a lot of them like that but so far haven't gotten any this year. Mostly the artistic dramas, that are the equivalent of watching paint dry, but some of them are pretty good. Let us know when you see it.

Saw it this weekend, what a disappointment.

I heard it's his worst one.

Tarantino has been slipping lately. His stuff has gotten much more political. Deathproof was bad, even with Russell's performance and a handful of good scenes. Basterds was good, but inconsistent. Cristoph Waltz saved that movie for me. Django was a disappointment with the exception of the awesome dinner table scene, which I think is one of the best he's ever done (in large part thanks to DiCaprio).

Django lost me at the end. The zombie apocalypse style massacre of the white people was way over the top for me. Could have been so much better as a running gun battle, instead a Kill Bill finally without the swords.

Maybe you would like 'Room' or 'The Danish Girl'?

So you don't like movies in general? How about Spotlight or El Machina?

I liked Cool Hand Luke and The Hustler. I liked the Godfather. Just saw The Martian it was ok.
I saw Ex Machina. If that's what you are talking about, it sucked.

Yes ex not el, sorry. These are new movies from 2015. Cool Hand Luke, classic, the Hustler/godfather also classics but not as good as CHL. Matian had it's moments, but Machina was a little twisted, and profound at the end. I have broad range of movie styles that I like. like good story telling. Glad to know you don't hate everything.
