No we won't, Mr Cameron, because we won't need to.They won't need to replicate another 'Jungle' on our shores when they arrive here from the French one and further afield, they'll simply make a subsistence claim then travel direct to anywhere they fancy in the UK er, 'looking for work'. Anyway it seems to be academic because it looks like the French have already taken things in hand viz. "France contradicts Cameron over Calais migrant camps. David Cameron's warning that voting for a Brexit could lead to 'the Jungle' in Calais moving to southern England is contradicted by France" [IMG]

So it looks like 'back to the frighteners drawing board' for our EU-obsessed PM. (I honestly can't believe all this (*)(*)(*)(*)!)

Addendum: Actually after having watched Hamlet in the Calais Jungle, they'll probably hot-foot it to Stratford-on-Avon to find out more about Shakespeare? [IMG] Jeez you couldn't make it up, as they say!

Ever notice how our politicians require these poor refugees have to travel 3500 km before they will be given any help?

Why not send the help to the countries where these people already are??
It's not like every last bit of territory in their country is a war zone, there are plenty of places these people could live in safety, if only their basic needs were provided for.

How could our politicians be so stupid??
Rather, I suspect, the politicians know exactly what they're doing; they care more about trying to shift the demographics in Europe than they do about the actual welfare of the refugees themselves. For the same amount of money, the UK could be able to help 5 times as many refugees if they just sent the help to Syria (just think about the differences in cost of living!). The Syrian government would welcome this help.

The notion that people need to move to your country for you to be able to help them is just preposterous.

Good idea in theory; trouble is that most of it will end up in the Swiss bank accounts of the ruling classes in the recipient countries: bit like our overseas aid does?
