"Outrage as MPs to get another bumper pay rise of almost a THOUSAND pounds"

So there we have it - society’s greedy, self-serving, and indolent parasites prevail over society’s lifesavers. Welcome to the surreal world which is today's UK, aka 'bureaucrat heaven'.

I am indifferent to the pay aspects of the dispute. I am more interested in seeing the working conditions improve. Maybe that is because quality of their lives matter more than the quantity of their bank accounts in my analysis.

What do you believe is lacking in their working conditions then, and how could they be improved?

As I understand it, the new proposed contract lifted the bans on excessive working hours so they could be forced to work over a hundred hours per week and their shifts could last for days non-stop.

That's what the 'born to rule' hypocrites who all have private health care schemes which we pay for want you to understand. There's no point in having dozens of consultants on duty at weekends if any technology they need to diagnose and treat an emergency admission isn't available until the following week. It's window-dressing to cut NHS costs and they don't care what he downside for us is. As an aside, it would be interesting to know when the last conviction was made for an assault by a drunk on an A&E nurse or doctor.
