Kuwaiti urges all Muslim States to recognize Israel immediately

In a true sign of change in the Arab world, Kuwaiti media personality Yousuf ‘Abd Al-Karim Al-Zinkawi called on all Arab and Muslim states to recognize Israel, openly and without delay, and stop calling it “the Zionist Entity” or “the Israeli occupation,” terms which undermine Israel’s legitimacy.

    Wow!!!!

    That is wonderful news!

HBendor..... what do you think could perhaps be two major agreements that Arab and Israeli leaders might perhaps be ready to agree to?

Could it be some variation of the Petra Project and..... an agreement for the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third Temple?????

    Good idea.

Since the Arab Spring and over the course of the past half-decade, the Arab countries’ stance towards relations with Israel has shifted dramatically, while a growing number of Arab policy makers have publicly supported open and full relations with the Jewish State.

In January, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director-General Dore Gold revealed that Israel maintains covert ties with almost all Arab countries.

Gold said Israel maintains contacts with “almost every Arab state, as long as it then does not make it to the front page of the daily newspapers” and said there is “the willingness in the Arab world for ties with Israel under the table,” terming at as a “dramatic change.”

In February, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for a change in the way countries that have ties with Israel display and express them publicly, adding that Israel is experiencing a dramatic and positive shift in its ties with many countries, and primarily with the Arab world in the Middle East.

“Major Arab countries are changing their view of Israel…they don’t see Israel anymore as their enemy, but they see Israel as their ally, especially in the battle against militant Islam,” he said.

Does this media personality work in the government of Kuwaiti? It would a bit more hopeful if the Government of Kuwaiti publicly declared it so.

    Israel has done something brilliant.

They shared extremely effective solar desalination technology with Norway so that their Norwegian allies could pass that tech on to the Islamic world.

Are you kidding me? The Saudis have more desalination plants than any other country in the world and have been building them since 1960.. Israel only has crappy reverse osmosis desal which doesn't removed bacteria or heavy metals.

I will have to google this.......... but if you are correct then I would be impressed!

Israel no longer worried about its water supply, thanks to desalination plants

Looks like the Saud is buying up land in the US Southwest, so they can offset that water problem of theirs.

By the word "theirs" do you mean residents of Saudi Arabia or residents of California, Nevada, New Mexico and ARizona?

If the Saudi's were to build huge desalination facilities in the USA South West........ that could be a massive win - win - win scenario for pretty much everbody?!

I meant the Saud Problem.....but then those you mention also have issues going on about water. We had a thread up somewhere on it. But I can't find it. So I went with what had added to it.

Saudi land purchases fuel debate over US water rights......

Saudi Arabia’s largest dairy company will soon be unable to farm alfalfa in its own parched country to feed its 170,000 cows. So it’s turning to an unlikely place to grow the water-chugging crop — the drought-stricken American Southwest.

Almarai Co. bought land in January that roughly doubled its holdings in California’s Palo Verde Valley, an area that enjoys first dibs on water from the Colorado River. The company also acquired a large tract near Vicksburg, Arizona, becoming a powerful economic force in a region that has fewer well-pumping restrictions than other parts of the state.

The purchases totaling about 14,000 acres enable the Saudis to take advantage of farm-friendly U.S. water laws. The acquisitions have also rekindled debate over whether a patchwork of regulations and court rulings in the West favors farmers too heavily, especially those who grow thirsty, low-profit crops such as alfalfa at a time when cities are urging people to take shorter showers, skip car washes and tear out grass lawns.

For decades, Saudi Arabia attempted to grow its own water-intensive crops for food rather than rely on farms abroad. But it reversed that policy about eight years ago to protect scarce supplies.

To further conserve water, the country has adopted bans on selected crops. This year, the kingdom will no longer produce wheat. In December, the government announced the country will stop growing green fodder, livestock feed derived from crops like alfalfa, over the next three years....snip~

    Is this the thread?

I have read that several well thought out and well financed projects were proposed to desalinate ocean water on a large scale for Los Vegas and other areas but.....
the extreme environmentalists killed every plan so far.

Perhaps the Saudi's can accomplish what American companies could not get through all the red tape.

If his advice is taken the effect over the coming months on the world economy could be astonishing.

Yes you know, cause Norway and Israel are the only countries who can make solar desalination things.

Israel was highly motivated to plant trees......
reforest desolate areas and obtain fresh water
    from salt water for agriculture.......
    and for communities........

But it is also impressive what Japan has done along a similar vein.....

Everybody is in on it with renewable energy.
Spain and Saudi are currently building the biggest water desalination powered by solar panels.
