So I just got the results of my genetics tests from 23andMe, and the results were interest.

First of all, they predicted my green/blue eyes, detached earlobe, and non-cleft chin.

    I am 4% Neanderthal.

As an Ashkenazi Jew of the Levite family, I assumed that I would possess the so-called Levite gene (J1), but I do not.

My paternal haplogroup is R1a1a, which is the standard genetic haplogroup for Eastern Europeans and is not classically Jewish.

My maternal haplogroup is K1a1b1a, which IS considered classic for Ashkenazi Jews and is part of the 4 mothers theory for Ashkenazi/Sephardi Jewish ancestry.

...but no connections to the Caucasus regions.
