Similar to my good friend and part time mentor Rush Limbaugh who has been the mayor of 'Realville' his entire adult life, I had become the self-appointed mayor of Lynn, Massachusetts or of 'Realville', USA as a mere formative child during my 1st and 2nd elementary school years at the ripe old age of 6 and 7. As a white kid I had no other means to get to school than by walking (running) through an all-black neighborhood. No one prepared me for the vicious racist, verbal and physical attacks from the older black boys in that neighborhood. School tardiness became an insignificant or secondary concern as I was too busy learning how to fight for my life against a gang of older black kids. My older brother had his head cracked open by these same kids as one hit him with a metal trash can. Needless to say, the thought of ever having a harmoniously desegregating relationship with these black thugs for me and my white neighbors would have been ridiculous, unattainable and self destructive. Lets fast forward some 60 years later where I have fortunately become the titular mayor of Jupiter, Fl.--better known as 'Realville', USA. Jupiter is the northern most city of Palm Beach County, and for all intents and purposes is a distant suburb of West Palm Beach proper. The nightly news of West Palm Beach is inundated with bank robberies, home invasions, credit card scamming,rapes, drug dealings, car jackings, swindlers, and murders etc. A good 90% (if not higher) percentage of these felon criminals are black. Remember, I live in Realville--inside a gated community where 99% of the home owners are white and where there is virtually no crime. I realize (as do all informative realists) that my chances of living a long life without being susceptible to black crime by living in a safe environment with like-minded realists still won't prevent others from calling me a racist simply because of my choice to live a segregated lifestyle. There are a couple of fine black families (obviously conservative minded realists) living in my/our gated community, and they also live here because they are aware of and afraid of having their children exposed to growing black crime in the aforementioned urban areas of WPB. I doubt any of you forum members would be so unrealistic and or so pathetically uniformed/naive as to call these black families racists for having the common sense and the wherewithal to peacefully segregate themselves inside a gated community from the preponderance of black crime running rife.
The word 'realist' seems to serve as a euphemism for 'racist' in your post. At the end of your post, you acknowledge that there are differences between black people based on the ideology they subcribe to. Instead of race, why not address people by mindset/ideology and behavior? Then, you would really be a realist.
Yeah, how so? My use of the word realist is in affect my attempt to dispel the silly claim by many that people like myself are racists simply because we prefer to live a segregated lifestyle away from black crime. To me, that preference makes me the realist that I am despite any attempt of some to twist the truth by calling me a racist. All in good time my friend. Deep in the forum archives I have numerous posts on this forum that do indeed address the differences in mindset, ideology and behavior between the races. But if you were to look between the lines in this very OP posting then you would get a cursory look-see into my thoughts about those 3 subjects.
don't confuse them with things like poverty, a long legacy of discrimination, and socio-economics. they prefer easy cut & dry answers, like "black people are just prone to crime"
Nothing could be further from the truth for as a modest Christian I'm a lover of all mankind and a stickler in exposing the facts about human nature. Crime does have a racial basis pointing toward the black race. Don't tell me that you're not aware of the facts that proportionally speaking blacks have a higher rate of felon criminality than every other race. Learn the facts and you yourself will be able to call yourself a people loving realist like me. This will give you the chance to come back with a feckless response that blacks have been mistreated, oppressed, and white privileged out of having the tools to be productive GOD loving citizens. Don't forget to mention that blacks have been given 1st dibs on the affirmative action and quota options by our over extended (race pimping) centralized government.
The Mayor of Jupiter FL is 44 so I am unclear how 60 years have passed....it seems to call the whole OP into question
this is due to centuries of racism and socio-economic factors. i know this is all way above your head and you and your ilk prefer to simply assume its due to genetics, but the truth is much more complicated than that. if blacks had no legacy of discrimination, similar poverty rates, similar higher education rates, similar unemployment rates, similar family cohesiveness, their crimes rates would be similar or identical to those of whites.
I am not sure you understand the term then. My uncle is literally the titular mayor of his city. The Mayor is just a formal title there. He was, and I kid you not, elected to an office that has no power or authority whatsoever. I tell him he is just an upscale Walmart Greeter.

If you were to re-visit my OP you would see that I had just barely touched on the problems I encountered as a young child. I could post a litany of socially harrowing events in my life that would make those so-called complaints of blacks look like child's-play in comparison. You ever hear of the term....'svck it up' or 'man up'? Well, blacks in general need to use and or exercise their GOD given talent(s) to make something out of their lives without resorting to whining, blaming whitey and or expecting the government to hold their hand(s) throughout life.

Yes indeed, and that is why I intentionally used the word wherewithal when mentioning those two or three black families. But those naysayers here should ask themselves how or why those black families were able to afford living in a gated community and why their living in a majority white community doesn't present a problem to them. Could it be that its safer to live in a majority white community, and that these black folk refused to be enabled by our government by striving to be the best they can be despite whatever hardships or discrimination they encountered along the bumpy road. Blacks need to belly up to the American express dinner table and enjoy the fruits of our freedoms before the leftist socialists and the professional race baiters/pimps like al sharpton and barack/moosechelle take it all away from them/us.
Racism is simply a macro level analysis of a group of people as a whole and helps deal with that group of people.

Well, here's a little test to find out if you're racist. Did you just rationalize your opinion of distrust and disdain for all black families who live outside your community EVEN THOUGH you have not met these people individually? Then, yes, you are a racist. It ain't rocket science.
