Has anyone watched this show yet? Not sure what I think of it yet. It's a little weird to say the least. It does seem to capture my attention and keep me riveted though. I do like the Irish vampire guy. He's quite an interesting character.
I've been looking forward to Preacher for months. I'll be honest though, after the first episode I was a little underwhelmed, I think my expectations were too high (though I think that was reasonable, given AMC's quality track-record). However, each episode has only gotten better, and now I'm definitely into it. And yes, Cassidy is a trip - and so far, my favorite character.

Been watching it. Never heard of it before so went in with no expectations. Enjoying it. Love the vampire.
Thinking back on it now, I'm not really sure why I felt that way. I agree that Tulip's introduction sequence was great, as was Cassidy's intro on the plane. And Jesse's "bunny in a bear trap" bar-fight was freaking spectacular. Maybe I was just in a weird mood that night? Haha, I dunno. Forget I ever said anything, I certainly enjoyed it.
Just watched the first episode. Thought it was great. Weird, but great. Clearly capturing the comic-book style, even in video form. Is smart, funny and intense, with great characters. Favorite scene was probably the Tulip-and-kids-against-helicopter bit. That was just straight out funny and totally wrong. Also enjoy the background details, like "Tom Cruise explodes".
I've enjoyed it so far. The fight Tulip had in the car cutting through the corn field was one of the better fight scenes I've seen on TV. And yes, Cassidy, the Irish vampire with a heart of gold, seems like a compelling character. It sure beats Fear the Walking Dead.
I'm wondering about those two guys who are after the preacher. They have some kind of super powers. Lol. I suppose we will find out tomorrow night.
They gave away a little bit last episode, but it was a quick line without any followup that you might have missed if you looked away for a second. *** SPOILERS *** Right near the very end of the episode, after Cas and the two mystery guys were sitting in the church talking, Cas asked who they were. The shorter guy said, "We're with the government", then Cas asks for more details, and seemingly without thinking first, the taller one blurts out, "We're from heaven", and the shorter one looks at him like "you weren't supposed to say that". It didn't look like Cas believed them though. So, I'm guessing they're angels, which makes sense, given what's happening with Jesse.
Oh yes. I remember that from last week, but like you said, they weren't very specific about what exactly is going on with those two. It'll be interesting to watch tomorrow!
I watched the pilot tonight and liked it. It took awhile because streaming in Australia can be awful. Liked the guy with the protein shake and a face like a cat's bum,
