Just wanted to introduce myself. I am an Albanian student living in the US, and I really am interested in politics and the radical turn in US politics. I have always been interested in politics, but these days I am much more informed about it than previously. My shift has been pretty dramatic, because when I was younger I was quite conservative. Then I switched and became a Hoxhaist (yeah...), I followed a lot of the tankies back when I was younger. Eventually I was dissillusioned with authoritarianism and turned to more of a libertarian marxist.

As for personal interests I am a massive Anime/Manga fan (henc the -chan), and I also like to read fantasy. I also like writing, and listening to (*)(*)(*)(*)ty autotune trap/hipster math rock/vaporwave.

Anyways, I hope to have a good time here!

A Hoxhaist is basically a hardcore Marxist-Leninist which admires everything and anything related to Stalin and Enver Hoxha. They pretty much hate every other branch of politics and shut their ears off and go "Muh revisionism, imperialism, facism" to any argument you make.

Yaasss another communist :) welcome, comrade! It's interesting how many communists from former Warsaw Pact countries and the west Balkans started out by being nostalgic; many of the ex-yu communists I know are former or current Titoists, and Ostalgie as we call it is more common in Germany than you might think. What does the term "libertarian communist" mean to you - are you an anarchist? I've always thought the libertarian/authoritarian dichotomy to be rather irrelevant to Marxism, since we are all ultimately anti-state.

Oh and on a slightly less intellectual note, what anime do you watch?

Well, I best fit that, but I eventually got dissillusioned by the promise of Hoxha's Albania. Essentially the reason why I used libertarian communist is because the ideology of communism had turned into an authoritarian movement that seeked to undermine other people's liberties (this started in the failiure of the 1917 revolutions in the west). In Marx's original writings and the early years of the 1-2nd international the movement was generally concerned about establishing a libertarian socialist society. This can be seen in the nature of the Paris Commune and Spartacist Germany. However Lenin ended this when the 1917-1919 European revolutions failed, he kicked the anarchists out and destroyed the Free Territory. This basically kept going on in the communist sphere until the end of the Soviet Empire in 1991. Since then I have seen that the movement has begun to morph (although there have been a few issues in the movement, mostly relating to SJWs and other authoritarian ideologies still persisting) into something more akin to this original state of Socialism.

I share many sympathies with anarchism, I really like their theories and their general disregard for Marxism-Leninism and its followers. However I see that anarchism also has its own issues. I also like Rosa Luxemburg, her concept of a revolution is better in addressing the issue of problem of fighting against capitalism. There are other movements, such as the Frankfurt school, Left Communism (both Italian and Germano-Dutch schools), and the situationalists that I also have sympathies with. I can't really call myself an Anarchist, nor can I be a Luxemburgist, so I just said to hell with it and called myself a libertarian.

Libertarian in my definition of the term is the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness as long as it isn't exploitative towards others in your society. Therefore I see communism as the most individualistic ideology there is. Because a person can pretty much do whatever they desire and use their skills to better society as a whole. However we shouldn't go too far, the concept of liberty itself is romanticized a lot, which I understand.

A lot, I've had a lot of free time recently so I can watch to my heart's content. My personal preferences are Seinen, Action, Ecchi ;), some shounen, and psychological. This season there were lots of good ones (Re:Zero, Kiznaiver, etc.), and a lot of bad ones. In general I also really liked Tokyo Ghoul, Monster, Elfen Lied, Steins;gate, Parasyte, Prison School (masterpiece), Bastard!, and others.
