While I think all these 'pride' days are stupid and divisive since they're really celebrating a sort of segregation, for the purposes of equality I'm glad to see straight people having their own day even if it's somewhat satirical and not official. I've been attracted to the opposite sex since elementary school. I fell in love with the most beautiful girl in my high school when I was 17 and we dated for a year. I was married for 13 years and we had two great kids. And I've never had sex with a male. I'm damn proud to be a heterosexual. You better accept my lifestyle or I'm going to cram it down your throat.
Gay pride events don't have anti-straight posters and messages. Like I have said. I'm fine with an event for straight people to stand up for their "struggles" and to host events where they do not feel any discrimination. There have been over 1,000 bills introduced in State and Federal legislatures over the last 20 years directly aimed at limiting or inhibiting the rights and/or privileges of gay American Citizens. Everything from restricting marriage to firing employees for simply being gay. How many bills have been introduced that would only limit the right and /or privileges of strictly heterosexual people? How many bills directly targeting only heterosexual people?
