There is a baby lying in a crib.

Someone takes a high-powered vacuum hose and jabs the nozzle into the babies flesh. There is a horrendous noise as the baby's body is dismembered and pulled apart into the nozzle. This vacuum is twenty-nine times stronger than an ordinary home vacuum cleaner. The baby is there, and then the next moment is gone.

Does anyone find this the remotest bit acceptable? If it happens inside a womb does that make it somehow different?

If the mother gives her permission, does that make it all ok???

How can anyone not see this? How can anyone not see Abortion for what it is?

About the best argument pro-choicers have is the "It's not a baby" argument, but even that starts becoming incredulous later in the pregnancy.

There is nothing wrong with a woman having the contents of her uterus sucked out if she so chooses.

The other argument some pro-choicers have tried to make is, "yes, abortion is wrong, but denying a woman the right to have an abortion is even more wrong"

There is no good argument against abortion so some Anti-Choicers have to make stuff up in the hopes that emotional hysteria will rule over law...

I see you are still pleading ignorance of reality (or is it just ignorance full stop), a baby in a crib is not infringing on another persons autonomy without consent, a baby in a crib is not injuring another person without consent and even if it were there are other options available to the female to alleviate herself from the issue without the need for deadly force, a pregnant woman has no other options.

    - - - Updated - - -

Showing your wilful ignorance again I see

Irrelevant .. what ever you want to call it doesn't matter in the slightest . .what it is isn't important, what it does, is.

    - - - Updated - - -

Yes, nothing to do with abortion

    - - - Updated - - -

The other argument is that abortion is not wrong in anyway shape or form, but of course you run away from debating that one.

    Strawman argument

A baby is not a foetus

We use that "argument" because it is relevant - a foetus is not a baby

Later abortions are for very valid reasons - just because you personally do not agree with those reasons does not make them less valid

    - - - Updated - - -

Another strawman - and one that has nothing to do with abortion

No. My best argument is that you don't really care beyond shaking your fist. You want the burden of your beliefs to fall on the shoulders of everyone else but you.

    Joe Akeem: Save the babies!
Others: And then what do we do with them?
Joe Akeem: Thats not my problem! You deal with it!!!!!

Its the one argument you cannot respond to.

In a free society I not only respect your right to argue that abortion is wrong, I applaud you for it. Because I like people to have more than one freedom in society, I applaud the right of folks to have medical procedures they deem appropriate. Hurray for you, hurray for them.

This land is your land, this land is my land, from California to the New York Islands....God bless America, land that I love. Stand beside her and guide through the night with the light from above...!

What you're describing in your example is not an abortion since the child has been born.

And yes, happening in the womb makes a world of difference, for the reasons I'm sure you already know(even if you don't agree).

As far as the procedure itself, nobody has argued that an abortion is an enjoyable experience to have or to watch. If the procedure distresses you, it would probably be a good idea not to watch them or read about them.

Then you should feel reassured that most abortions do not occur later in pregnancy.

No that's what happens when you give the poor a separate medical coverage. Who wants to fund the "undeserving" poor? Certainly not Republicans. It's a different question if it's the same coverage your family would receive.

The Texas example is simply medically appropriate. We should not waste resources on futile care no matter who the patient is because it inherently takes resources away from patients who could benefit from the care.

That argument could certainly be used in favor of abortion of those who have already been born.
Funny how many of the pro-choice arguments could also be used in situations that have nothing to do with Abortion...

Just goes to show how desperate many pro-choicers are to justify their position.

just goes to show pro-lifers do not really care about life.. they just want to force women to have babies they do not want... as a punishment for having sex I suppose as many are against birth control too

I'm not sure where you get that idea. Removing a ventilator isn't really the same as aborting them after birth. A ventilator is a bridge so they can survive long enough to get better. If they can't get better, use of the ventilator can be deemed pointless also known as futile. It is certainly the type of thing that should be decided by the hospital ethics committee and not just a unilateral decision by one doctor. But just because a family wants something doesn't mean the doctors should have to grant it if the doctors know through medical knowledge that it will not actually help the patient.
